Well the reasoning is sorta obvious, you hold the remote in your right hand, it controls your sword movements, so it would ruin the immersion aspects if you swung with your right hand and Link swung with his left.

Personally, I'd rather just swing with my left hand. It needs the work anyway.

Come to think of it, now all the genuinely left-handed people are screwed.

It still works if you're left-handed. Besides, would you rather just have all the right-handed people (the majority of people) be 'screwed.'

The combat control scheme in TP works very well. I had to turn off the fairy cursor because a) the noise was driving me crazy and b) it actually made aiming harder for me.

I need to go back and play now. I'm experiencing deprivation from the time it took to make this post.

Link has been left-handed in EVERY game except for this one, and you know what, it's about time you right handed people had to deal with SOMETHING not designed specifically for you. I mean, left handed people have to twist their wrists weird to write so they don't drag their hand over their writing and smudge it. Left handed people are at a disadvantage in driving stick because they have to use their off hand to shift. Left handed people ALWAYS end up with goddamn right handed scissors during art classes, which are painful to use. Left handed people have to use their off hand to operate the mouse, giving them an immediate disadvantage in any competitive video game utilizing the mouse (all FPS's if you use the most efficient control set up). Left handed people are screwed enough. Give us a single freakin' game that should have had the protagonist left handed in the first place!

Although, honestly, one thing to remember is that BECAUSE of all that crap, left-handed people aren't really screwed. The majority of us are actually about half-way to ambidexterity because society forces it upon us. Though not as bad as it was.

I can agree that you should have been able to choose which hand was the primary one. I don't understand the whole "we have to switch the world from left to right" thing anyway because there are no really weird passages that I've seen that need you to be handed one way or the other.

And like other people and I said before, which hand you use to play doesn't really matter besides immersiveness. Swinging the wiimote is basically equatable to a button press because it doesn't follow your motion, just the fact that it moved.

Honestly, it's one of the things I've always liked about Link. He's the only hero I know of who's actually left-handed, like me. I know it's completely stupid, but I feel like I was robbed of something there. I mean, it's a ridiculous reason to draw a connection to a hero, but hey, there ya go.
