Also, apparently in some certain Time Warner/Comcast areas (but not all), Meltdown was released to Video On Demand. I've seen at least 2 hostings of the Meltdown episode on YouTube, so I suggest you take a looksee. Just enter Transformers Meltdown & I'm sure you'll get a hit or two. Also, a pseudo animated version of Transformers: War Within has been released. Its only the first part, but its at least interesting.

Having seen the episode, I'm kind of stepping back from what I said in the last post, which I thought was aimed at the Dinobot episode. Gah, I'm dumb.
Arcee's cameo was awesome, and Ratchet's good old justice was really sweet. The writing and battle banter in this series is really well done. Particular this episode, since it was the first Decepticon/Autobot conflict on Earth the series thus far (Excluding Starscream of course). Bumblebee's hyper little kid demeanor at first was making me really worried that it'd taint the original Bumbles character, but I'm starting to really prefer this character; Reminds me of some sort of Cheetor/Rattrap hybrid with his one-liners. My favorite thus far, from last week: Bulkhead: "'Scuse me! Sorry! Coming through! (While smashing half the cars out of the way) Sorry I'm late. Did I miss anything?" Bumblebee: "Nope. I'm pretty sure you hit every car on the lot." It makes me sad that I have no Transformers Animated Toys to do comics on.

one thing I hope was more of a continuity error, then something done on purpose. At the end of the episode he still had that scar on his arm. I really hope some animator screwed up and he kept that emp generator. Would suck if he didn't
On a side note, I know its always been semi-implied, but I'm still abit suprised that they outright said that the transformers feel pain. Which incidently makes the episode a whole lot darker

I really liked their use of an EMP Gen as an 'anasthetic/mindwipe' system. I love the writers for this show; they really know how to put the Autobots in a situation, and give them each individual character advantages and use them in creative ways rather than doing some sort of god-awful overwhelming cliches to solve the problem.
It's the James Bond school of plotting; here's your gadgets Mr. Bond. Now make do with them in creative ways to keep from getting killed.

I didn't see it...was Soundwave there?
We all know he's the best transformer...and the most bad ass...and I'm not talking about the fucking CD player that everyone said was Soundwave in the movie...I mean Soundwave with an 80's mix tape inside of him who only talks in cassette tape rewinding sounds because he's too bad ass to speak a real language...like Snake-Eyes in G.I. Joe except there's no drunken sailor to translate for Soundwave. We just assume Soundwave has said something bad ass like, "Put Captain Solo in the cargo hold" or "What if he doesn't survive? He's worth a lot to me" or "He's no good to me dead" Stuff like that.

Anyway, I haven't seen any Soundwave in the premier 3-part episode or in any of the episodes so far, but seems like there's pictures of him floating around. What I like the most about this series is that the Autobots are really a repair crew who crash-landed on Earth and so they're still learning to work as protectors and all. With the exception of Starscream, there haven't really even been any Decepticons in the show who have landed on Earth and fought the Autobots. (Megs doesn't count since he's currently in permanent "Head Mode" and Lockdown's a bounty hunter anyway) It's nice because it means that the Autobots aren't hardcore enough to take on Decepticons (Who are essentially war machines) just yet, and they don't magically get that power just in the name of the All-Mighty Plot. God, there's so much potential here for this to escalate right past Beast Wars. And yeah, I said it. And trust me, I love Beast Wars.

10. Sound and Fury Sari's new toy musical robot seems to have an evil streak - and the ability to control other machines - but Bulkhead is the only one who sees it. My guess is that the toy Robot turns out to be Laserbeak, and Soundwave eventually comes & gets him. SWB

yea we saw lockdown, he even transformed, and got backstory.
A few questions about that episode. Anyone know who that multi-faced german accented decepticon is? Nothing even seems vaguely familar to me. More importantly, does the appearance of Lockdown mean that they know where the autobots are now?

Probably, and that'll probably get mentioned in future episode.
And the multi-face dude reminded me of the Quintessons, but I suppose it could be the TF:Animated version of Straxus or something. I could see them rocking that. EDIT: Wait, that was Blitzwing. Man the TF:Animated premier was so long ago I had forgotten.
