The best thing about Disney is that the villains were outlined in bold (song in my head for the past week, making this conversation a weird coincidence) and clearly designed to make small children wet themselves.
I seriously can't see any other motivation. That's just how Disney got their kicks and it was awesome. Name one Disney villain even close to as terrifying as Scar or Frollo in a recent Disney movie. Or Gaston's death in Tarzan. When was the last time they did something like that? Last edited by Viridis; 04-02-2009 at 06:31 AM. |

That'll do girl. That'll do. Granted, my extent of enjoying Disney Films were watching fight scenes. I was a young boy, and as such was impervious and even disgusted by scenes of love. Now, the Prince shoving a sword into Maleficent's dragon chest? That was gold.

I have a signature. It's a really cool one, too. It's so awesome, you'd pull your eyes out and punch your mother. Sadly, these rules state that my signature is just too darned big. Too much awesome for such a small space. Oh well. You can still punch your mother...if you want... Fifth and Krylo made me do it. http://www.animecubed.com/billy/user...sigs/60266.jpg Be the Ultimate Ninja! Play Billy Vs. SNAKEMAN today! |

Speaking of villainous songs... I was trying to find Savages to listen to but I keep finding the newer version where instead of "Their whole disgusting race is like a curse" it's "Here's what you get when races are diverse" (Yet they leave in "destroy their evil race, until there's not a trace left") I think as a rule Disney needs to leave their old movies alone. Every time they add or change things it completely throws me off. This added song makes my Disney-loving heart cry. The original scene was amazing, why change it? Ah, I'm not a big movie person at all, except when it comes to these old Disney movies, the animation, the music, the stories, they're the best. I really appreciate movies like The Lion King now because of how much they put into the little details, like correct lion-like behaviour (that is mixed so well with the human-added nature of the animation). I would give my right leg to be working at Disney back when they brought in the lion to the studio so that they could learn how to animate them more realistically. It's those little things that make me love old Disney animations.

At one point, Yzma in the Emperor's New Groove was going to have her own dramatic villain song.
It plays through my head, back to back with Frollo's Hellfire. |

With exception to Snow White. Snow White is the most horrible pile of trash I've ever seen, and I'm surprised it was ever considered a classic.

Not a princess, Mauve, a "Disney Princess." There's a difference, one of which is that they needn't be royalty.

Also, has anyone heard of the latest stink around "The Princess and the Frog"? Something about keeping the prince white even though the 'princess' as it were, is black? I swear, I saw an article about this recently either on MSN, Aol, or Yahoo news but I don't remember exactly where. |
