Well apparently you people all have very different opinions so I'm going with my gut feeling on this one.
NAME: Gofur Rival: G Starter: Charmander (Bard) Confirm the action. Is this okay? Last edited by Great Cartoonist; 01-24-2010 at 03:39 PM. |

And so we put our established name down to use for the rest of this playthrough. That's right, Professor Parrot. You serious? You ask us for our name and then you tell us that this guy's been our childhood enemy number one? Are you high or something? Yep, must be all the chemicals you work with. How convenient that the name we just gave you was in fact the actual name of this kid! Uncanny! (Also, who names their kid G? Suffer if I know!) Oh what now? And then our hero gets blasted with chibification. Okay, the first thing any sane person would do when abruptly teleported into an unfamiliar room is to check the surroundings and try to make some sense out of it. So, directly in front of us is an NES hooked up to a TV... There's a bed in this corner... A decorative potted plant... Oh hey, a computer. Always check every single object to see if you can get anything good out of it. I'm pretty sure that you can only withdraw or deposit data files when dealing with computers, but let's see what we can get out of this. Well obviously; we just started this game. Alright, a potion! ...But how does that even work? Wait, seriously? This world has computers that can generate objects out of thin air yet people still play on the NES? Oh forget it. Let's go downstairs and see what else we can dig up. Oh, okay. Apparently this is our hero's mother and she's not at all that worried about her only son leaving by himself. Maybe she secretly wants her only bedroom back. I dunno. Even I'm not sure what the heck that was about. And our hero is too stupid/impatient to read them all. No matter how many times I force him to. For your listening pleasure: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQg-pcGBZAM Why anyone would want to live in these incredibly small cottages is beyond me. There's not even a bathroom or anything. Where do these people go when they have to go? G's, and by extension, Oak's house. Maybe he's here. Well, um, I guess breaking into people's houses unchecked is standard for this town. Who cares about that jerk, we just want to see Grandpapa Oak! It's useless. No, really. Now THIS is more useful... if you're a newcomer. I've already memorized all the important locations of this game. Alright, he's gotta be in here. Welcome to Oak's one-room single-floor research lab... yeah, I don't even think it should be considered as such. Uh-huh... Uh-huh... Uh-huh... Uh-huh... Uh-huh... Uh-huOh, wait, we've been through this already. Sorry. Okay then. Nothing of interest here. Thanks, Captain Obvious Jr.! Obvious text is obvious. So then, it's not really encyclopedia-like? This is something that will be important in the future. Can you guess why it is? Oh well, Oak doesn't seem to be in Pallet town, so join me next time when I try and look for him in the next town or wherever this path leads to. |

I kinda lol'd at the Aides. Then I thought, "Why is this amusing? Whatever the reason, I'm sure it's GC's fault."
So yeah, I'm blaming GC for it. Everyone cool with that? |
