And it's meant to be a game tie-in with the movie they're doing about the original Sands of Time. So it's a game based on a movie based on a game based on a game that's in the second game's universe. You can see why I'm setting phasers to "Suck."

I can only see it be "Hey remember the Sands of Time trilogy? Wasn't it fun?" And me going, "Yes, it was, please don't try to keep it going, I'm okay with it not being the next Zelda or Mario."

I hope they bring back that sweet password system with drinking the lettered potions. That was awesome.

Archer and Armstrong vs. the World

If it's some kind of retcon or new beginning it's probably a good time for me to get back into the series since I was never able to beat the Sands of Time like...eight years ago, and so never played any of the other ones. Ubisoft's game-ending glitches are good for forced replayability but they basically kept me from buying any of the sequels.

The whole trilogy is good, but even with the gameplay improvements of the second one I still absolutely love the first most of all. If only for the writing.

The third one was the best - it had humor, great puzzles, the insta-kill system.
The first reigns in at a close secon, though. As soon as I had beaten it, I went out to buy the next game in the series. |
