Hmm, if it is three people in a room locked up it is definitely going to Eels, who probably has far more experience in closed quarters melee combat than any of them. If they are running around the city trying to kill I'd toss it between Adin and Eels with the competition being network of crime vs possible Rockstar Games protagonist. Really no matter which way I look Johann get's the screws. He is physically weak, he is noticeably foreign and thus easy to find, and his subtlety, typically his primary strength, would probably be worth absolutely nothing against Adin and Eels, the first who would shoot him on sight and eat him later, the second who might take his time and repeat the disposal technique.

So... what's stopping Johann from giving your description to the cops and paying them not to take you alive?

For the most part you have that any one of their asses could do that, Adin being probably the only one who would actually want to. The question is how does Johann stop the cops, Adin would use blackmail. Eels still has his genuine murderous intent. Johann is still a weak man who lost his powerful backer and I repeat that he is damn easy to find. Adin on the other hand is a master at blending in with people.

Obviously there is only one way to settle this argument.
Mauve, Art only needs one of us. MAKE IT SO! (Though I admit to suggesting the closed room because it gave Eels the advantage)

I don't suppose Ben is a full time employee, is he? I can also imagine that he gets paid a good sum for whatever info he can get to the big man in charge. Especially if it concerns their current business in the back room. Guess I'll also need to know what info he does know and what information he should find out.

Adin is valuable because of his contacts... And Johann is valuable, because without him the Speakeasy would start losing customers and business. Not to mention that Adin's judgement doesn't seem to be too sound on matters of "Kill a foreign dude or slaughter a guy in this city and burn down his house". Possibly you're right that Johann would come off worst in a city-wide competition, but in terms of value to the business, I'd have put him either first, or a very close second. Are we supposed to be this competitive already? All I was meaning to suggest was that Overcast go back to the "savors wine because he likes a bit of art in everything" style of posting and steer away from the "Economic analysis, humans are liabilities" mentality. He's better at the former, in any case. Much more interesting posts. |

Probably! But Awakening came out, and I SHOULD be getting FFXIII about the time I finish playing through that, so it's not a huge deal if I end up bumped off.
I would be sad, though. Quote:

It took 13 years to catch ONE of the men responsible, and they couldn't even pin the slaughter on him. Had to pin killing the cop who finally found him on the guy to put him away. Capone and Moran never heard a peep out of the cops, despite being the ones in charge of the operation. Slaughtering a dude and burning down his Speakeasy would be almost completely safe. Quote:

Eels is an enforcer. He is the guy people are scared of, the scum that will represent the gang at it's worst. He is a necessary person because SOMEONE has to get their hands dirty, and when you have one that not only wants to but is damn good at it then you let him play the scapegoat.
In the end Adin is going to be who he is. After all he has to play his role. So he will be answering exactly how he feels is right. Anything else would be against his character. Like you too Krylo, meet you back in the laundry room after taps.

Eel's also has that air about him, you can train people to be killers but you can't train the creepy that Eel has. He creeps everyone out.

I leave you people alone for five minutes and you're already trying to kill each other!
Can't we all just get along? Can't we just agree that you're all special snowflakes, all equally horrible in your own corrupted, twisted little unique ways? :p
