Other missions will presumably have a comparable amount of assholes.
I'm not talking just about boss battles. If it were good in all boss battles, then it'd be pretty cool. But how many times in the last few battles would it actually have been useful? Let's look at it mission-by-mission.
First: Not at all.
Second: Maybe against Phantomere in his "can't touch this" modus. Other than that, not really, and even in that case, normal-damage attacks by a reduced-stats pokemon, really wouldn't do much to bring down a ruin general. I mean, they'd contribute, but using that slot the manner we were meant to, would probably have been more effective.
Third: Would've been good to relieve frustration against Gardenoir, but other than that? Sure, it could be hitting Wildfire. But unless it only has a pretty small sliver of health left, it'd be better to use a pokemon that can fight against the enemy mooks, to that we can expose and kill Wildfire more quickly. We can observe the rest of this mission, but I think the trend will continue.

In summary, it's not that Anticheator (that is its name) wouldn't be good, it's that, I think, it'd be better to invest as many resources as we can into exposing a boss, and then strike at the boss once it's been exposed.

Quote:
Maybe if I were talking about you. But I can understand why you might've thought I was: I forgot the universe revolves around you.
Well, I'm the only one you talk back to, hence my assumption that you meant me. And if you're gonna dispute that I am not a hand that feeds you, fair enough, that's fine. Though if that's the case, I'm sure you wouldn't mind proving your independence by removing from your sidequest any elements that I originally suggested. That means that it can't involve the revalation that Pierce has a criminal past, and once worked for Faynoc, it can't involve Pierce going after Faynoc solo, with our team jumping in to help, it can't involve the rescue of Pierce's sister from Faynoc, it can't invovle Pierce finding Enmakki.
M'kay?

In regards to the Menarker thing, by no means do I think I'm always right (well, I do, but that's not the point). But I'm saying that, in that sort of situation (where his protest was basically unfounded), the only way he could be successful was if I agreed with him, and I pointed out that I'm very unlikely to agree with him in that matter.

Quote:
I think it was stated the the abilities have to be thematic. For example, I can't give Tyranitar Water Absorb. I could instead, rather, give it Sand Veil.
Ffffair enough... I can always start protesting on a case-by-case basis. Though where was the post that said this? I can't find it.

We get one signature move for custom pokemon like Mollesk or Enmakki. More moves have to be gotten as custom moves from upgrades. And Dialga's Time Distortion became a Pokemon Co-Op.
How many custom pokemon can you have, then? Is there a limit for them? Cause getting a free custom move with every custom pokemon, how is that justified? I'm fine with custom moves, and as long as they cost you a sigtech slot, I'm even fine with them being quite powerful. But why give them out for free?

I mean, what has Impact done? Become leader by being a whiny little bitch? And the flipping the fuck out whenever someone dares to do something for themselves? Not to mention, being obviously evil.
Become leader by being best at it. Setting the stage for becoming really evil later.
And seriously, I could have sworn I threatened that you wouldn't see the stuff I do coming until it was way, way too late. Now you're complaining about the fact that I don't seem to be doing anything? That is the point.

And yes. I make proposals. By doing so, I hope I can create balance. That is also the point.

Though I can cut down on the evil-genius thing. What other persona to assume?

Fair enough. What do you think would be an Anti-cheater (that will never be the official name) that would be worth using and not overpowered would be like?

In other words, do some balancing.

Perhaps... have it do 2x damage whenever it's piercing a defense?

Are you pulling a bullshit argument and turning it into an obstacle? A barrier, if you will?

God, I hope so.

Also, I'm pretty sure that when Menarker was talking about me biting a hand, he meant AB and my whining.

Probably a self-imposed limit. I doubt every custom pokemon will be getting a signature move, or I would be giving Aria one. I have no plans nor any inclination to do so.

Don't forget you get a SignTech at level 4 Slayer, since you said you were planning on reaching that point.

Oh! Oh! Better idea! It's a newly-discovered pokemon that can change types at a whim. So it's not an Almighty-type per se. Rather, it's any type it needs to be in order to recieve 1x damage from any given attack.
The problem with that one is that we're dealing with mobs of foes with varying elements. Are you implying that it'll change its element for each and every single attack sent its way? It's rather like a Kecleon in a sense (except it's before instead of after the attack.)

Quote:
I meant for the UBER pokemon themselves, not the evolutionary stage. As in, what is Xth-level Tyranitar going to be called?
Since you're going for "maturity", only thing I can think of is Regiutar. The name Tyranitar means tyrant and Large Lizard (also resembling the name Tyrannasarus Rex) Regius is Latin for "Royal" or King, which is a step up the "approval" ladder instead of being a tyrant or my other suggestion, a despot. (Despoitar) So Regiutar would be something like Large Lizard King or something. ^^;

No, see. Look at the upgrade list again. All characters, regardless of their classes or upgrades, will only have three Signature Techniques (or Pokemon Co-Ops) available to them at specific levels.

Yep. Every. Single. Attack. Even if there are several attacks at the same time, or multi-typed attacks (like certain Synchronization Techniques).

Who knows? Maybe it's got a Spider-Sense.

Try harder.

Maybe go for big rather than royal. I had Collositar (don't think so), Titanitar (too close to the current one) and Behemitar (also don't think so).

Oh, the list got changed more than I expected from last time. Guess I gotta read up more closely on those little details.

And how would that pokemon of yours react to Kirie during his signature technique which automatically shifts her weapon so it'll be super or quad effective if ever possible? Like dividing by 0?

Pure power? Doubling the physical attack of Swampert? Notorious ground-attack user? Fuck no. I mean, Earthquake's not that convenient, but there's plenty of other physical attacks, and Swampert isn't supposed to have excessive attack, it has good stats already.

And Flower Gift for Shaymin? If I read bulbapedia correctly, that powers up attack and special defense for all party pokemon when it's sunny? Again, fuck no. Even if it were only for Shaymin, there's a reason the only pokemon that has that technique is a pokemon with fairly crappy stats. Well, not crappy, but certainly not 100 across the board.

See, this is what I mean. Those are strong abilities. They're used to compensate for a pokemon being weaker, stats-wise. You're trying to give them to pokemon who're strong, stats-wise.

Look, how about, you can't shift to an ability that's stronger than the one that's present already. We don't have to establish tiers, but no replacing a weak, or even a detrimental, ability with a strong one.

And AB specifically asked us to balance, I can hardly be accused of whining here. And if you think I'm whining, I haven't even started on Mollesk's custom technique.

Nnnoooo, I'm illustrating that howevermuch you dispute it, you frequently benefit from your interaction with me, often without me benefiting in return. As such, I can be indeed described as a 'hand that feeds you'.

As for anticheator (come up with a name for it), it really all depends on how much AB will allow. Talk to him about it, then go to the limit, I guess.

YES FUCK YEAH SHIT LET'S DIVIDE BY ZERO LET'S DUUU EEEEETTTT.

No, seriously, we fucking should.

Or, y'know, if we don't want to break the game, we can just say that Kirie's Angel reflexes can't quite catch up with Anti-cheater's instant-type change and precognitive ability.

Oh for the love of God. Let's say, just for the sake of argument, that you are a hand that feeds me. I never actually said that you weren't, I was under the impression that we were talking about AB, another hand that feeds me.

Also, you've benefitted a lot. My wins have been largely inconsequential. I mean, making sure you can't go for Shizuka? An imaginary girl from an RP on a forum about a sprite comic that already ended?

Your wins, however few, were much more important than mine (even if they are still wins on a RP on a forum about a sprite comic that already ended). Especially because they further your own goals for world domination, and mine were pretty much on a whim.

Dude, improved pokemons are supposed to be the highlight of Pokemon Breeders. Get that through your head.

Oh? My dual pokemons of Serene Grace, Pierce's Tyranitar, and several psuedo legendaries users say otherwise. Strong ability on strong pokemons. Abilities are given to all range of pokemons. Strong or shitty. Shitty like all your arguments.

Quote:

Done. :3 Shaymin has Serene Grace, which is powerful as heck, so there is a sense of equality. I'll have Shaymin uses Flower Gift during its land form. ^^

Really dude, just stick to balancing overdrives and demon. Everyone knows you hate pokemons in a sense (playing a character that's trying to remove their presence) and are trying to nerf it to hell. AB will handle the approval of pokemon stuff. :3

*Smiles about Huge Power Swampert and Flower Gift Shaymin he'll present*

Geminex won't be happy until every single pokemon has a smaller penis than his.

... now, I'm imagining a custom pokemon based on one of the various real life creatures with penises bigger than the rest of its body...

Or the type of squid that has one of its 25 ft long arms become a penis... (that type of arm is called a hectocotylus)
