second verse... completely different
For some reason, my SHINY NEW Mozilla Firefox keeps crashing. The only time this happens is when I attempt to 'refresh' these forums (specifically with the F5 key). I've no idea why, but sitting through reporting the errors is kind of annoying. As is losing a nearly loaded movie.

I couldn't say...sorry dude. The software code didn't malfunction and we have no fragmented or corrupted structure on our SQL so unless you can give me more specifics I'm afraid you'll have to downgrade or somethin'.

Really, it's totally understandable

Nah, really it's totally understandable. Thanks for looking. Actually it hasn't happened the last several times I've tried (though I haven't tested it too thoroughly). It may very well be - and probably is - something wrong on my end, as my really slow laptop (which I'm using now) doesn't seem to have that particular problem (it has it's own... it's old). Weird that it's only these forums, though. Anyhoo, thanks for all the hard work you put into this stuff! EDIT: I love your sig. I've meant to tell you several times and have forgotten. It's fun to get great quotes from Smarty!

My end?
Bumping this thread 'cause it's kind of a glitchy behavior?
Often when browsing forum sections, I'll view a thread or make the last post in an active thread and then leave to another section. However, the thread will retain the "unread new posts" icon [and a bold font if I am viewing that section's thread list]. Even if I go back into the thread and then out again it seems to stick. Manually clicking "mark forum read" will resolve it, but I shouldn't have to. And it's not every thread, nor is it consistent. Thoughts?

Click into the forum itself and then back to the main page.
It's been that way for as long as I remember. :B

Yeah I think that's an error in the forum software itself and not so much the machine.
Also: clock will be fixed later. Derp.

Cookies!
It probably has been around for a while, but for some reason it's bugged me lately. It's not a big deal, though -- I was more looking for affirmation that it happens to others or a clue if it was something I was doing.

It's happening to me too, and it's slightly different from normal, you're right that it's always happened if I go right back to the main page, but now it seems to stay marked even if I go back to the forum like normal and only loses it's new post status when I hit Mark Forums Read. And like Synk it's inconsistent, but seems to happen more often with threads I've posted in.
