I remember watching Heat once when I was younger. I was barely following the plot and I'm not sure why I stuck with it at all and I still can't remember what actually happened in the film, but near the end I was rewarded with a truly superb running gunfight scene, which I guess makes it all ok.

It's not actually the best movie ever made (that's Rocky 4 obviously) but I just watched it again yesterday.
I've made you a list of the best movies:
1) Rocky 4
2) Predator 2
3) El Topo
4) Stalker
5) Con Air
6) Masters of the Universe
I never thought me and Smarty would agree on anything, least of all films. Good call. Of course, we all know that really, Aliens and Terminator 2 are the 2 best films.

The fact that Masters of the Universe is behind five other movies entirely invalidates this post, and all your future opinions.

I'm talking to an empty computer. There's a dead man on the other end of this internet.

While it scores highly in two of my three key metrics: Dolph Lundgren shirtlessness factor and Synthesiser beats meter (bonus points for the latter being a critical plot point) it has a distressing lack of montages.

Also Predator 2 is the greatest sequel because it took a terrible first movie, kept the good bits, removed the terrible bits and left a great film- which is how all sequels should work.
