Seeing mostly for the Guillermo Del Toro monster designs and robot designs and the general epicness of it. I even liked Don't Be Afraid of the Dark which I guess was Del Toro-Lite so really I haven't ever disliked something of his yet.

The only real nod towards Japanese anime seems to be that some of it will be set in Japan and the co-star is Asian, along with the general concept, but again, I'm pretty optimistic about it.

Transformers/ Godzilla / Battleship esque action films are just becoming way to exhausting without something in them to back up the continuous influx of explosions and tits. Story writing is becoming a lost art in the genre that needs it the most.

And if someone had the bright idea to capitalize on Portal's success, why not just make a half-life// portal film?
