I will readily agree that Mesden is, today, a town-aligned townie, and as such is a great asset to us. However I must point out the following:

We don't know that paranoia makes here immune to all night kills. We have seen her survive one mafia hit. It may be that she would have succumbed to a serial killer hit or vigilante kill. We also do not know whether she would survive any more than one night attack. It could have been a one-time defense. (Mesden -- I know that a person cannot roleclaim a secret role before it is revealed by the GO, but now that your role has been revealed are you allowed to explain it? Of course, revealing such details might not be a good idea (depending on what those details are) so I am happy to rely upon your judgement of whether or not to do so.)

It seems to me that a person who can't be night killed would be a greater asset to the cult than a person who can't be lynched. There is no defense to a night kill (except Mesden's or a bodyguard, 'cept we lost ours) but when it looks like a lynch is coming the cult can sort of defend its own, ya know, since they know each other and can talk outside the thread.

Do I think this means Mesden will automatically be drafted into the cult tonight? Not necessarily. There is certainly something to be gained by drafting IHMN or even Nikose. I just think that until we get the cult leader we have to keep an eye on our known townies in the coming days to watch for symptoms of cult-itis.

As for who to suspect or lynch today. . .well, I'm still on the fence. I was kinda leaning toward Nikose until we found out his secret role so now I have to start rereading the thread again. But I think that's for tomorrow since between babysitting my neices and fixing my mom's computer I've had about two hours of sleep in the last 48.
