This is my super crazy theory. Gremmy said "I'll destroy imagination", Yachiru was basically Kenpachi's imaginary friend and somehow he was able to physically manifest a person. Would explain why despite sucking at detecting spirit energy he could always find her.

Though I dont think its a manifestation of his sword, cause being able to call it out should make the manifestation stronger not weaker

maybe not the ability but the spirit energy. Plus it seems like his power isn't constantly going up and does fade with time.

That much is true, but still... 2 chapters just for Ichigo to ''touch down'' and we only got the ''You know the guy is badass because he moves faster than the enemy can follow'' deal

Well... this arc has a decent pace overall and interesting stuff keeps happening, so i'm ok with that, but goddamn it Kubo...
