Zesty: (I'll have a little trouble reading their names. Bad eyes and its pretty dark in here. Bear with me.)
I really like the look of the bottom left one (Alex?), and the bottom middle (Chase?) is pretty daggone good too. But yeah, Molly's head shapes all wonky. Her eyes are off too. Too far apart, and the one on the right is to high up, I think. Really, the major problem is the shape of the head. I'd redo that, definately. The girl on the top right's (Nico?) eyes are too far apart as well. You need to move the one on the left back over to the front of her face. The top left (Karolina?) has a bit of a cone neck. Seems to be too long. Maybe if you fix that, the rest of it would fix itself. And I think her face is a bit too simplistic. It just ends up looking sloppy. In case you've never heard of it before, try looking at it in a mirror. Or, since you've got it on the compy already, just use an image editing program to flip it. You get used to seeing your drawing how it is, and it stops looking "wrong" when you mess up and such. Seeing it in reverse makes it like your looking at a completely different drawing, and...voila, you see the mistakes agian. That's all I can see/think of right now. Here's a couple of sketches of NPF memebers that I've been working on lately. I'll probably CG 'em and stick 'em in the member comic thread once we have it back. In the meantime, here's Skyshot:

As for the rest, thanks a million! Definately soem stuff to look over and correct before the final draft. And yea, I tend to have a problem with long-arse necks if I'm not careful. and as for the face, maybe if I slimmed it a bit, it'd look less simplistic? I'm thinking most of the simple-ness comes from the fact that Karolina has a very slim face. I'll tprobably look better with shading and whatnot. The eyes, I'll redo a few times, probably. Eye placement is one of my biggest headaches ><. And I've tried the mirrror and upside down things before. The trick I usually use is to hide the drawings in a folder or portfolio or something and take my mindoff them for 24 hours. Then take them out and check them for errors, and then hide them again, to double-doublecheck (Works for self-proofing papers, too.) I didn't do that on these, though. I just sorta drew and posted. +++++ Quote:

in opinion. No work is perfect and with enough scrutiny, flaws can be found in the greatest master works. It may even be the flaw that catches the eye and makes you like the piece. It reminds me of what Frasier's dad said on the TV show Frasier. "I don't know art but I know what I like..." Quote:

Tweeb: I don't mind if you don't comment. I guess I was having a weird day when I posted that :P
Swiftbow: The character is cute! However, what jumped out at me first was the colour of her skin. Even if she has a tan, her skin is more red than it should be. |
