You know, we haven't really thought about WHY Snowman dying would destroy the universe. I don't think it could just be "hello former Black Queen, here is the power of universe exploding."

Maybe she's the lynchpin on a bunch of fucked up time shit. Or something else, but I get the feeling that somehow a bunch of threads have been cleverly woven through her such that when she's undone, the whole thing will come apart.

Just speculating though.

Then again, since we got the line "you've recently come into all the time in the world" (quoting from memory), maybe the offer she got was pretty much "we'll make you immortal by linking your existence to the universe itself."

I think it's just that Doc Scratch made it so that Snowman became the very continuation of time. If she dies then time no longer continues, essentially ending the universe as there would be nothing after it.

In her defense, she can only see the kids, and Davesprite stopped being traceable over the Trollian viewport when he prototyped himself, so it's more than likely she had no idea that any of that would happen, or has happened.

Of course, she wouldn't have cared if she could see them, primarily due to her natural bitchy Vriskatude but also due to the fact that none of those events are avoidable, and any attempt to circumvent them would just make things worse since everyone (Bro and Davesprite included) would be doomed in the splinter timeline. At least this way the casualties are reduced.
