Take a walk with me
don't deny my hand
we'll walk in step
throughout this land
among the valleys
throughout the hills
watch the oceans tumble
as the river spills
every aching rock
each nook and creek
from the driest deserts
to each mountain peek
I'll open your eyes
and you'll breathe in awe
and long for sunrise
forever more
no longer to sleep
just to wake in bliss
and to witness views
such as this
with your very own eyes
that I gave to you
all that is beauty
all that is true.

Here is a requested poem for Pixi!

How would one define
A great friend in rhyme
For words cannot
Catch the meaning.

For Pixi, the closes type
Would be a simile hype
The one that I would pick
Is none other than The Pixi stick

For this candy, light and sweet
No one can dislike this treat
Comes in many flavors too
Always here, always new

For the cheer she brings
That and many things
Also the flavor is a trip
Simply, it’s true friendship

I have no qualms with learning
at times I feel a yearning
its just the way I go about it
I'm left with very little doubt it

is the hardest way to go
and all the things I claim to know
are learned at quite a price
the lessons not so nice

when first I learned to write
I spent all day and night
sharpening my yellow pencil
at erasers end, still

I finally got the answer
though in my mind it rancored
confusing products for a sum
three plus seven? twenty one!

and history was writ in greek
the past about which I can't speak
I never learned to read that stuff
I figured latin tough enough.

all the wrongs I've had to right
within myself lies the plight
a dullards wit and common sense
a genius level intellect

Here is the first one:

Flying by my window
Flowing in the trees
Hair trailing in its blow
My friendly gentle breeze

It tip toes in the leaves
It dances through the fields
My inner feeling it has freed
My laughter it reveals

Everywhere it travels
It smiles at all things
Through it all life has grown
And Mother Nature sings

Innocent it seems
The thief it plays a part
Never could I ever dream
It would steal my gentle heart

And the second one:

The road
It leads not a straight path
Rather it goes around
Up and down
Forward and back
Towards our hearts desire

No matter where it leads
I follow the path
Laid before me
Visible or not, clear and clouded
Nothing will get in my way

The road vanishes
Obstacles appear
Here and there
But all mountains
Are pebbles at my feet

For I keep going
Bad times and good
High and low
Life is too sweet
To stop moving

Putting your soul
Going towards your goal
Sometimes together
Sometimes alone
I keep going

When there are no certainties
Looking at the sky
My fear washes away
My steps lighten
My trek continues

For I can move mountains
Cross any streams
Swim across oceans
Survive any desert
My heart is my guide

For life is a journey
Some are short
Others long
All end up
Leading to the future

Beautiful Mary
Peaceful lasitude
seeps into my pores,
saturates my turbulant mind.
Blood now honey -
sickly sweet life
where fire once was.

nervous glances thrown this way
and left I went to her dismay
a path so straight you see forever
a road on which my feet tread never

I'm not your chance, your hope, your reason
I'm just a man who lives and dreams in
daylight hours meant for toil
a silly boy whos hands are soiled

so scared of what I'll never be
and frightened more of what I'll see
I even cower before my past
but a woman scorned, and hell hast

in winter lands far to North
awaits the hero, stay on course!
he'll never flee or turn away
Captain Finland saves the day!

as Osterbaum he's meek and mild
but evil deeds, they drive him wild
he fights the menace dr. shiney
his rhetoric is never whiney

so stand back and hand salute
or whatever finlanders do
to show respect to this man
Captain Finland rules this land!

Okay...real nervous about this one. It's my first love poem, so be nice.

Living alone
So alone
Not knowing anything else
I go in silence.

But, upon my winter
A ray of sun peeks through
And it melts
And it warms

You showed me
What I wanted
What I needed
What I never knew.

For you to see
Beyond what others
Have placed upon me
Hearts opened in the sun

Hearing you
Speaking to me
Talking to me
Laughing with me

Stay with me
Be with me
For you have made
Me feel this way

My heart is full
Swelling, bursting
Feeling, wanting
Searching for you

My winter
Was melted by
Your spring
I am renewed.

For I could speak
Those three words
