Now, if you want to be truly hardcore, you hack the game to rebalance it to your own tastes. Anyone who doesn't want to play your customized version is a scrub!

Hahah, only Smash players do that though. The fact that the handful of Street Fighter games with huge, glaring faults that make them kind of shitty haven't been hacked yet is testament to that.

I realise that's meant to be a joke but there are people posting on places such as Shoryuken or Neo Empire who really don't know what the fuck when it comes to programming, or anything slightly computer-y.

Although there has been the infamous Koryu hacks of SF2 and SF4, which are like Street Fighter if everything was turned up to 11,000. SF2 Koryu even inspired Capcom to make some changes in the real SF2 updates.

Only assumption I'm gonna make from that video is that Lightning's clearly not up to the task of filling Terra's shoes in the "female lead FF protagonist department."

I blame the player. Half those attacks weren't even remotely in range and it was the same move or two for the whole video.
