I'll admit that I haven't been following the threads that closely, but what I'm gathering from each of these comics, is that the characters are pitted against a personalized ordeal. Fighter with those freaky stone pillars, RM with the switch & various other tweakish lures, Thief is likely running into a whole lot of treasure that he just can't get at, and BM is just having a series of bad luck experiences again & again.

The only question I ask is this, what exactly will it take to break this loop?

I'm also not entirely sure what's going on. But the simple things we do know:

Fighter - Still in the starting "Pillar Room" after teleporting everyone else.
Thief - Was sent to the "Treasure Chest Room" before switching with BM, presumably by the monster in the Treasure Chest Room. Now outside the Door.
Black Mage - Was sent outside the Door before switching with Thief. Couldn't get through the Door. Now in the Treasure Chest Room, and has just convinced the monster to leave.
Red Mage - Was sent to the "Switch Room". Unknowingly operated the door to prevent BM getting through. Built... something... and fell through the floor on it's use. Defeated a TREX solo with almost no effort and gained 7200 XP (not that he's noticed yet?). Now in a room with no determining features.

We don't even really know where everyone is in relation to each other anymore. We can assume the Switch Room was near the Door (thanks to BM's screaming), and we know RM's below the Switch Room.

I got it off some anime site. It is named that because I actually have another one called just greed.png, but it isn't an avatar.

I think it's fairly obvious.

Fighter is in a room with a column.

Thief was in the Treasure Room, to overcome the Ordeal of Avarice. Fortunately, thanks to Fighter's meddling, BM fielded that Ordeal instead.

BM was attempting to enter a room, possibly to find his own ordeal (Ordeal of Pride? Hate?). Thief is now going to field that Ordeal.

RM was in the Switch room, and is now below the Switch room. I don't think that the TREX was an Ordeal.

So, yesterday's comic leaves three more Ordeals to overcome. I think BM's Ordeal, handled by Thief, is next. Since, ya know, RM isn't messing with the door controls anymore.

Any idea on the other ordeals? I think they may correspond to four of the deadly sins, but I have no idea. Fighter's Ordeal of Ignorance? RM's Ordeal of Truth?

Something else?
