Yes, for some reason I think of Fighter and Black Mage being about 17, Red Mage 18, and Thief 19 or 20.
But these would be Elven years, making him the eldest by a much greater margin, I wager. Not that it makes any difference.

Let's see now. Given by my own personal reckoning, Black Mage is 19, Fighter 20, RM 22, and Theif, to human eyes, would look maybe 25.

I've never quite gotten why it is that elves are supposed to mature so much more slowly. Sure, they live a long time, but humans don't take 20 years to fully grow because we live longer than a dog. It takes longer because we have more to develop. And, since I have yet to see any evidence that elves are considerably more advanced than humans (again, other than lifespan), it would seem to me that they should mature at about the same rate, but then just stay "young" for just so much longer.

It's already happening. We are much more like children at 18 than we were a hundred years ago because the average human lifespan has increased so much since then.
