"Are you sure getting Rei to put Phoenix in the H.W. Altan is the best idea?" Mauve asked Arhra.
"I know exactly what I am doing!" Arhra replied confidently. They had just opened the dimensional portal and Arhra seemed struck with new energy. She seemed to have become more familiar with the ship's layout too. Either that or she was just dashing around aimlessly with utter certainty that she knew where she was and it was just everything else that was misplaced. They came to a lift, the hanger having the ones that were more of a moving platform. Arhra stood on it and activated the controls. They were off to the bridge. POS was a little surprised to have Arhra storm onto the Isparalian's bridge, Mauve at her tail as well as the surprise as one of the bridge crew reported their new location seemed to right near Mount Raiden. The portal transit had been fine, for those on the ship at least. Those on the battlefield weren't quite as fortunate. The Isparalian's had burst through a great swirling vortex in the sky, a diabolical portal like some infernal sun. Its arrival displaced a massive volume of air, making a shrieking windstorm envelop part of the battlefield, in some places superheated from the heat of the ship's re-entry. Arhra had strode up to the raised area the captains chair was placed upon, eyes flashing over the various readout and ears taking in the reports of the bridge crew. Her eyes lingered on the tactical map for a moment. With a voice of command she cried out, "Prepare to deploy the Robo-hobo! Launch... now!" A bay on the bottom of of the Isparalian open, the Robo-hobo lowering into view, support hangers wrapping around its shoulders. A split second later, the supports released, letting the Robo-hobo drop like a stone. A very large, heavy stone. A stone that looked like it was going to land right on top of Fidem. Back on the bridge, Arhra seemed to have assumed she was in charge, giving orders left and right, "Activate the A/I Gestalt Shield Layer Interface! Energise all forwards weapon batteries!" In the background, POs was muttering to himself, "Why are they listening to her? She's not in charge. She's not even in the chain of command!" He consoled himself with the possibility that the bridge crew knew what they were doing and Arhra 'orders' were just the obvious thing to go. Besides, what exactly was a "A/I Gestalt Shield Layer Interface"? She was just making this up. That surmise was abruptly shattered when a part of the floor opened up and an elaborate machine that looked like some unholy love-child of a throne and a sophisticated torture device rose out of it, apparently at Arhra's command. Arhra sat in it, wincing slightly as it some parts of it closed in and appeared to engage invasive linkages between the girl and the device. Holographic displays flickered into existence, displaying readouts on three small mobile shields that could move to reinforce any point on the Isparalian's shields. "Wait a moment," POS said, "I never saw Phoenix do any work on that proposed shield utilising your draining ability." Arhra cheerily smiled back, "Why that's elementary my dear POS. It is the joy of delegation." It seemed just in time, as the defensive aritllery doting Mount Raiden chose that moment to open fire. Arhra began shifting her three shields into a defensive configuration on the prow and cried one last order. "Fire at will!"

Phoenix was, to put in the simplest terms, very, very confused. She'd just panicked, latched onto Rei's conciousness, and now finally began to think clearly again. For, unbenownst to her, Rhiya's chaos burst had fundamentally... changed her. Phoenix had succumbed to a strange curse that slowly drained her conviction until she could no longer think clearly, until a number of her compatriots had betrayed her aims.
Pedro at the helm of the Isparalian constituted approximately one thousand, five hundred and seventy nine of the required five violations of Phoenix's aims. The problem was, with Rei carrying her slumped, catanotic corpse into the cockpit of the H.W. Altan, Phoenix was, for all intents and purposes aware, but yet fundamentally incapable of affecting it's outcome. For Phoenix was no longer inside her body, but merely a floating, incorporeal series of essence agglutinations that formed her conciousness. Everything had fallen into chaos around her, and now Phoenix too, had become a creature of chaos. "C-control panel... Right... Body... Wait, that's not Rei... Who?" Phoenix thought as she looked over Rei's shoulder as the android set her body into the pilot's seat of the H.W. Altan. She tried to reach out and stop her, but saw nothing, for she had no hands. If she was going to tell Rei something, she'd need hands. But how? She didn't know any sorcerous magic, so creating a form for herself might be difficult. Regardless, this ghost-like form had to go. Focusing on herself, a picturesque Phoenix-copy popped into existence, only much paler, and with light blue hair. Apparently, in addition to her current predicament, Phoenix was also ice-elemental bound. Another quick and desperate thought summoned a pair of clothes from her quarters before Rei turned around to goggle at the new Phoenix. “Um. Hello, Rei. Mind telling me what’s happening?” Phoenix asks, raising an eyebrow at the android. The ship shook. "Why... Why are we in low orbit?" she added. Loud ratcheting discharges could be heard from several sections over. "And why are the Gamma Photon Pulse Cannons firing?" Phoenix added again, with more desperation.

Sub-Rhiya fumed inside Ecurt's muddled head. Now and then, she kicked a whimpering Gliepnir in disgust, before circling around and watching Ecurt do stuff.
Stuff she was sure wasn't THAT legal either. She sat down on the ground to plot Ecurt's imminent doom. ~~ Wrath Manifest - that is, Rhiya stuck in a form that she doesn't really hate much - looked up from her bloodshed to spot a large, heavy metal object deploy over Fidem's head and drop like a stone. With a snicker that stripped two noobs of their skin and eyes, she continued her mindless slaughter. "Eeenie meenie miney mo, I spot an endangered, possibly future-extinct, foe."

Darth SS squared off opposite the enemy mod and waited for an attack. And waited. And waited.
Finally, Darth just threw a knife at the mod's eye.

Just a passing through veteran

The man sat in thought, and in relative silence. For, he was the sole and only living being in the room where he was currently residing, all the other previous occupants and workers had since left it to complete other tasks, relating to defense, repair, and logistics, as the room could be run with a single person, or even without anyone in it. The man's only company was the flashing lights, and the scrolling text on the screens of the many computers and devices that were present in the room. The man shook his head in thought before uncurling himself from the chair and walking to a piece of machinery. The man pushed the button down and spoke a few sentences.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Fidem growled even as he saw his own attack rebounding at him. "Do you really think that will work you little...." he yelled outwards at the Godess in anger. Reaching onto the handle of his cannon Fidem swung it around his head and pointed it at the center of the oncroaching vortex. Even as such, he was barely able to bring the cannon up in time, or maybe even he did it later then he would have wanted, for the cannon was almost touching the radiating vortex when he shot the cannon strait into it. The result was instaneous, and extremely explosive, with Fidem at the center of the explosion. It seemed like Fidem had not had time to concoct or use any of his special cannon shots to disable the vortex before it harmed him, for the explosion was too all appearances decidedly regular and not unnattural or spectacular as it had sometimes else been. It could not even be known if he had survived the explosion for a few moments, though as anime physics indicated he would no doubt be standing in the smoke unharmed as it was blown away. At least, as the smoke was blown away from the explosion, that sentence was proved half correct, for he was standing in the smoke, but in fact he was not unharmed. Despite what one might think, the blast had been at point blank range, and that would hurt most beings even ones as powerful as moderators are. The injuries done to Fidem were readily apparent, and pretty obvious to all those that weren't blind. For, he had lost a metric ton of blood, there were scratches all over his body and radiation burn marks from the vortex. However, most of all, he did not have a left arm anymore. Even with all these injuries, major and minor, Fidem was still standing however, for even as a person looked on, the minor injuries could be seen to be rejuvenating, and the major wounds closing, though this did nothing for the absent arm. Predictably, Fidem looked incredibly angry, and this showed by hiim hefting the cannon in his still present right arm, along with the narrowing of his eyes and the grim sadistic frown alighting upon his lips. At the back of the cannon, a pinprick of light could be seen as Fidem pointed it at all the inhabitants of the field. This pinprick of light grew, fast, and it started to include many differing colors into its kaloidascope burning. Fidem shouted as his muscles tensed to shoot the cannon at the inhabitants of the field "Oh you god damm NPF'ers, your going to enjoy to the pain this will give you for harming me thusly. I don't care how much work you've done for us!". His hand alighted upon the trigger of the cannon, and his eyes gleamed madly. Suddenly, Fidem froze, to those that were perceptive enough, they might have noticed he seemed to be listening to something. Even as he listened his eyes stopped the gleaming, and his sadistic grin became a frown. Under his breath Fidem muttered something and then called out "Fine then, you want to get to the temple? Then I'll just help you along, he'll take care of you most likely, have fun dying by your friend's hands!" With that said, the kalaidascope lights in the cannon died down, and then another light erupted from the cannon, this one, not being a beam or an explosion, but a series of runes, that swept around the field within a nanosecond. The runes glowed brightly for a moment, and all those in the field found themselves at the door to the golden temple, sans Fidem. They could, however, hear his bodiless voice saying one last thing to the group. I hope he makes you squirm. ************************************************** ****** As the group appeared before the door, they saw something strange. It was Raiden. However, there was something wrong. He was slouched against the doorframe, his hair straggled about his face and shoulders, the sweat beading on his forehead. His breath was heavy and ragged. His strong hand was clutched tightly at his chest. He didn't even look at them when they appeared. His eyes were infinitely aimed down to the ground. He had no right to look them in the eyes.

Somehow...Esheth wasn't surprised by any of this. Just as he and Wrath had been nearing Fidem, some strange beam attack showered them, covering everything in runes as far as the eye could see-and then...
Well, here they were. Quite honestly, Esheth was getting tired of seeing runes everywhere. Every time they appeared something dangerous always happened. Something would explode, something would get caught on fire, and somebody would get a costume or sex change. However, now was not a time to complain. Thanks to Fidem, they had caught up to Raiden, the only person Esheth had really ever cared about catching. This time called for not words but for action, and lots of it. If only she knew what action to take. |

"Hurrah! NO MORE TOPS!" Pyros swung his mighty blade, and tge last of the tops dissentegrated.
Of course, in the time between this post and his last one, he'd lost more hair, an arm (Pyros had a spare right arm anyway), and Mesden's dress had seen better days. He'd tried getting out of it with the top's aid, but the Chaos magic had merely made the dress reform. Granted, with more chest space. Mesden would be ticked at the current state of her dress when she got back, but now it fit alot better. He remained as his normal self for the time being though. He needed his full strength to remove the impediments. But now that they were gone, he had fish to fry. Hylian fish to fry. 'Hystian, Hylian, whatever your gosh darn name is, get out here so I can beats you senseless!" Pyros leapt above the battlefield and swung the flametongue at the surviving buildings, three slashes to make three mighty gashes into the ground. Hopefully that would smack the man out of hiding. Or at least show where he's not.

I can't pull myself to hate him for what he did. I just can't help but feel sorry for him. Garud approached Raiden.
"Are you alright there. C'mon Raiden, speak. You look a little worse for wear." Gaud shook her head. Something was terribly wrong. Raiden was definetly not in a right way.

The End of Evolution

A rush of magic filled the air. The familiar energy was invigorating for the Wizard. The runes released by the enemy filled the bloody battlefield. With a slight closing of his eyes, the Wizard, now some ugly ethereal thing, felt the magic. Became one with the magic. Began to feel as it felt, understanding what it’s purpose was. The runes were meant for transportation, specifically teleportation. To where? , the Wizard wondered. The magic told the Wizard, and he understood. They were going to meet their new enemy. Their old friend. … His mentor. Raiden.
------------------------------- The runes dissipated, showing the golden temple before the adventurers. With a quick scan of the area, the Dark Wizard knew something was wrong. His eyes fell upon Raiden, who looked… beaten… defeated… destroyed. The God looked like a mess. His wild hair, his posture, his ragged breath… all spoke of a walking dead man. His eyes were aimed straight toward the Earth, avoiding the gaze of his former allies. Yup, you just realized you fucked up, asshole. The Dark Wizard reached into his black robes and gripped his hand around his order axe. He snarled, a slight quack like a duck escaping his lips. He was ready to throw the weapon, to hurt the weakling before him. But the warm, soft feel of the handle made him falter. Maybe... he has completely fallen from grace. I don't slay the strong. They bring order, they bring... this... fuzzy feeling to the world. The weak... they deserve to be slaughtered. Maybe... just maybe... he can prove that he can bring order back to this world. So, it's best to wait before I make any rash moves. For he may redeem himself. Plus… The Dark Wizard tilted his head slightly to look at the Soul Goddess, Mesia. He quickly looked back toward the remainder of a man before him. ------------------------------ The Wizard had been examining his two… companions. He had expected both of the to leap to the attack, and then having to somehow restrain them. However, although both clearly were ready for battle, they both knew it was best to wait. The Wizard then drew his attention to his former mentor. He readied magic, knowing not what to do. Is this a trick? Is he cured? Is he injured? Should we fight him? Should we save him? The Wizard had no clue where to go from here. However, he had been asking many questions to himself tonight. He had been answerless. He had been confused. Now was the time to understand the strange events of tonight. Cautiously taking a step forward, the Wizard opened his mouth to speak to the beaten figure in front of him. It took a while for the words to come out, as the Wizard did not really know what he wanted to say. Eventually, he landed on, “You have a lot of explaining to do.”

"No," Esheth said, stepping in front of Twiddy. "No he doesn't. There is no excuse for what he did, and we should show no mercy.
"A crime against the forums is a crime against all of us. Not only has he stolen both the Kurosen and Mashirosen, but he has aided in Gaian scum in invading our lands. "I will show him just as much mercy as I've shown any other opponent-none." Throwing her arms to the side, two blades suddenly appeared in her hand-the Soul Takers she had taken in the alternate reality. For a moment, her expression softened, wondering why Raiden would give him tools that could defeat him, before she narrowed her eyes and raised her weapons. --- Inside his head, Ecurt glanced at Rhiya. "You think Wrath could back me up on this?" |
