Just a tip to those new to the game, a bit of friendly roleplaying is fine, but in the first game, it ended it a LOT of chaos, most of it being against the people that did Roleplay.

Just passing that by.

IHMN, we can't trust you on this nor can we really vote for everyone besides you, since the rules wouldn't allow that. A game isn't to be won on the first day, and this whole plan has me thinking you're the SK, off principle really. Needing everyone else dead and what better than an elaborate lynch plan?

I'm really trying to wait on him. Also, let me pull out the chances he is a townie.

Now, we have 5 mafia. That's 19:5. SK, 18/6. Cult Leader, initial Initiate and as far as I can tell, they were able to draft at night too, so 15/9.

So, 15 townies, 9 scum. I'm honestly not ready to go with the already unviable plan on sheer fact there's a good enough chance you're scum. SK comes to mind.

I'll add to that the fact that he made his first post exactly 5 minutes after Fenris's post that the day had begun. If the timing has any relation to his being scum then I might suspect that during that 5 minute span he had received a PM related to the game. The only two roles that I can think of that would receive a PM would be the P.O. (with the results of his investigation) or a person who had been inducted into the cult and needed to know their new role.

If IHMN was the P.O. one would expect him not to suggest some crazy scheme but rather to try to subtly direct us to scum (if he'd found any) without revealing himself. If he was a P.O. who hadn't found scum he would still probably want to avoid drawing attention to himself by being the first poster (and having such an absurd series of posts).

Then again I could just be incredibly paranoid. I'm not ready to cast my vote yet, but I'm definitely ready to FOS: IHateMakingNames


EDIT: Wow! Double ninja'd by two people who both were apparently quite ready to lowball IHMN's prowess. That'll teach me to take my time and spell-check.

Ummmm Mesden? 5 (mafia) + 1 (SK) +2 (CL and initiate) = 8, not 9. Also there are 25 people in the game so taking away 8 (or 9) will not make 15. I can take this in three ways:
1. You have some kind of secret evil roll, and accidentally counted yourself.
2.You are scum, and you wrote yourself off your calculations (thus subtly claiming a townie or townie aligned role), in order to make us believe you are innocent.
3. You are just a regular townie who made a mistake.

2/3 against you isn’t the best thing to have, and at this stage of the game this is the best evidence we can get, and it has been proven that these things do happen (See Darthmauler).

That's not a 'so crazy it just might work' gambit. that's more of a, "I suddenly don't want to play this game, let's get it over with quickly!" and feels almost rude, when taken the way I took it. ^^' I may be wrong. wouldn't be the first time.

THAT is a big speculation. I have this thread set to instant update, because I want to watch and learn. I considered posting immediately, but decided to hold off. my post would have been 1 minute before his. :P


And of course we ninja'd you. We feel similar to you. Just don't assume; watch for something that's almost solid. His actions make him a viable target at least. :P

The Cult got another initiate. Meaning that there are three members of the cult (initial initiate, new initiate, and cult head) instead of two, bringing up the total to nine.

Mesden didn't make a mistake. You did.

Also, I don't really understand the reasoning for the second "possibility", while the first one is just something you can't defend against since you cannot claim or even imply that you have one until it's been revealed.

Appreciated to a point, Ecurt, but please, from here on out, let me defend myself to all accusations. I know the slight obviousness here, but it's possible I would've said something else.
