I'm ever so glad to have found this forum, long long ago, for this is the first forum I ever joined and I've yet to find a reason to go anywhere else (unless i get something cool from membership, like free Anime downloads.)
As for the Mods, I've yet to bump heads with any of them do to a time honored and age old practice of not sticking my head out and hiding behind the taller people. And I like to think of myself as a mature person, but I also like to think of childish things, so I dunno. I've never used the word "lol" ever, at least.

I bump heads with them all the time. I betcha it involves magnets...
VG Cats also has an interesting policy. Allow registration, and allow, say, 500 people to join. Then disable registration, and then weed out anyone who steps out of line. Six months later, allow registration again, when the original 500 has been pared down to 20, or so. That way, people who think differently than the mods (or whoever is banging the mods) can be kicked out, until it just leaves the mods fan club. Here, people of all types are welcome, as long as yer not Irish. Oi! And sorry, Meister, I was trying to be funny. See? Funny! Ha! HAHAHA! Ha... ha... sorry. |

Man, if I had an internet web forum I would so do that. what? You're telling me you wouldn't want a dedicated ego boost brigade composed of 14 to16 year old web comic fans? Pssh. you must be lying if that's what you're saying. I think I'm going to go start a web comic for that express purpose actually! but yeah, fairness is awesome, totally. Why haven't you mods been reaping the benefits of this goldmine?! |

*ahem* That being said, this is one of the better forums in which I have participated. The population may be mostly young people, but these are young people who tend to use the brains they've been given. It is indeed a joy to behold. And the mods, the mods...the mods do a pretty fantastic job, in my opinion. Being in charge of a forum isn't an easy, and it's even tougher when one has to moderate thousands of people with differing opinions, attitudes, and beliefs. <warm fuzzy> NPF has a nigh-perfect balance of the elements that make a forum worth joining. Honestly, even though I don't say much, I'm glad I joined. </warm fuzzy> |

You know, it's kinda funny... I was reading this thread, and I thought, hey, wasn't FifthFiend always a mod? And then I remembered reading a thread of surprise at his appointment to the position... Yeah, I haven't been around for too long, but NPF is definately one of my top 2 favourite forums. The other one is a favourite because I have a bunch of friends there, it has a bunch of webcomics... and it's a really small group. About 10 people who ever post. Which is why I try to plug it as often as possible! (note: look at my sig)
I'm really happy about the quality of the Nuklearpower forums. I mean... I sometimes use internet slang in casual MSN conversations, but in an intelligent way, and I wouldn't mind seeing that a bit, but on these forums people can actually form coherent sentences, which is a refreshing break from the usual internet experience.

I lurk around a lot of forums, but I always come back to this one in the end. I think what makes it so good around here is the banning of anyone who excels at jackassery. Thank you mods.
