Vigilo - Confido

Well, I'm 20, turning 21 August 2nd.
I'll be having a job interview today, though that's a mere technicality, as I already have the job. I quit college in December where I studied to get a teacher's degree in English. I'd be teaching English to first, second and third years students at secondary school (which Americans would call High School). Furthermore, I have rather big plans ahead. But those may come in action next year, the year after that, perhaps in three or four years. You get the point. I've also just been sacked from the Ultima-Java gig. Don't ask, please.

You -got- my postcard?!

I live in Tokyo. I was born more than two decades ago, but less than five. I hate eating at places like Matsuya but it's just so cheap that I have no choice. I sometimes go to Club Atom in Shibuya on the weekends, or Club Vanilla in Roppongi on the weekdays. I don't like Roppongi. I like Family Mart. I want Mexican food.

Well I'm turning 22 in less then 2 weeks and am currently a senior in College going for my BA in Comparative Literature. Right now I'm writing an honor's thesis about magicians and wizards in literature. Next year I'll either be going for my MS in high school education (teaching Physics...it's a long story) or be taking a year off to work and assess my situation. I currently work for Hunter EMS, which is an ambulance company near me. I'm an EMT Basic and I work there and for the ambulance company at my school Binghamton University, which is in upstate New York.
Currently I have just become single (yes boys, I'm back on the market) after breaking up with my boyfriend of almost 3 years. When not living at school I live at home on Long Island with my parents, 2 sisters and my dog. I play Lacrosse at school as well as Hockey (being the wonderful Canadian that I am) and have a very unhealthy obsession with video games, especially the Prince of Persia series and DDR. |

How are you doing?
The question's a little broad, but I'll hit it. I'm alive, breathing and safe to say doin' alright. Apart from the occasional morning sickness, I'm in pretty good shape, apart from the filling I need to get replaced after I pop out the sprog. What are you up to lately? Lazing around. I've been a bum since I moved to the States in November, and I don't really care. I've been raiding on WoW (I have a Molten Core run today. Le sigh.) and playing on RaiRO. Otherwise 'real life' has been spent stressing over Greencards, deportation and babies. Where are you in life right now? Secure, for the most part. Living in Minnesota which may become Ohio by the end of this year. I'm preparing for probably the biggest change in my life with the baby on it's slow way, so trying to take things one step at a time.

We make good team!

Well let's see...
I just started my second semester of college, and it's going well so far; I just need to do my homework this time. ^^; I'm turning 19 at the beginning of next month, as well. I don't get to see my girlfriend often, but the time we do get together is cool, so it's alright for now. Physically, I'm in good health, though I could probably use more exercise. Overall and generically, I'd say I'm 'alright.'

I'm pretty good overall. I'm in 10th grade, in a boarding school in southern Ontario. Right now it's pretty boring, mainly because all the classes are way easier than at my old school in Chicago (I'm from Toronto, moved to Chicago three years ago, then moved back this year, and started going to this boarding school,) But that should get better next year, when I have more freedom on what classes to take, letting me take harder courses.
I also can't find any nerdy stuff to do. I'd really like to get into warhammer or another tabletop game, but no one at the school really does that sort of thing. I don't have much of an idea of what to do with my life, although recently I've considered looking at a career in medicine. I'm smart enough, but I'm not sure if I have the work ethic to get through all that. Physically, I'm in decent shape in the general sense, but that should get better, as I've started to train for rowing in the spring.

I'm currently at college dual majoring in Electronic Engineering and Computer Engineering. I was originally just going to get the Computer part, but then they said something about Robots, and well, I was all for that.
So far its been an easy ride, but has started to get hard this quarter, so yay for that. Up until now, the hardest part was staying awake in my A+ Cert classes, as there was just enough info in there that I knew already to make it boring. I still had to stay awake for the majority of it though, thus the difficulty. All the other classes have been hella interesting though, so no complaints. I also have the unforunate fate to have something bad happen to me fairly regularly that I did not cause. Like, just a few months ago, my roommate decides he wants to key my car because our other roommate got him in trouble. Oh, he was a bright one. And just about a week ago: I'm in traffic - on my way back from a funeral - and some girl behind me thinks, "Hmmm, I wonder if cars really are solid...". As it turns out, they really are. I now have to find some place to get the bumper and muffler put back on the right way, and its looking like she doesn't have insurance, meaning I'll have to pay for it all. Hmm...maybe its just the car that has bad luck...I'll have to look into that.... |
