WeiBer Rabe opened up the door and walked in, his trench flowing out behind him. The multiple religious symbols haning off the chains on his pants clinked against one another as his hair. He slowly scanned the room. Looking for stragglers that could help him out. He had some things planned for if he had to go solo but he'd rather not have to pull them out.
He swung his guitar out of it's protective case on his back and kicked on the built in amps. He flicked a couple switches on the case to switch on the prerecorded accompaniment. It wasn't all that great but no one would notice if he pulled this off right. It was all about the effect. Time for the opening fireworks He struck a deep chord, letting the sound echo around him for a moment. He played it again, letting himself find the music again. He then launched, full-blown into Sleepy Head. The accompaniment screamed around him. The deep, rifting effects of the music. He was now gathering a small crowd that had stopped to watch the one man band. Lets get it moving In the silence following his first number he began speaking in the deep, seductive voice of Rammsteins prose, Mein Herz Brennt. "Nun liebe Kinder gebt fein acht/ ich bin die Stimme aus dem Kissen/ ich hab euch etwas mitgebracht/ heb es aus meiner Brust gerissen/ mit diesem Herz hab ich die Macht/ die Augenlider zu erpressen/ ich singe bis der Tag erwacht/ ein heller Shein am Firmament/ Mein Herz brennt!!" The room erupted in a tower of smoldering sound that resonated off the very walls. His fingers climbed over the eight strings of his bass with agility most could barely manage with four. As the song ended he swung his bass back into the case and switched off the speakers. "My name is WeiBer Rabe. I'm looking for a band. Any takers?" ooc: DAMN I LOVE SHOWING OFF

He just looks over at WeiBer and just shrugs as he closes his eyes and continues to play. He had stopped playing Tantric and started to play some Nine Inch Nails. He starts to play through "Perfect Drug". He starts to break into the few lyrics that he does remember as his fingers play with practiced ease.
"You make me hard, when I'm all soft inside/I see the truth, when I'm all stupid eyed/The arrow goes straight through my heart/Without you everything just falls apart/My blood wants to say hello to you/My feelings want to get inside of you/My soul is so afraid to realize/Every little word is a lack of me."

[OOC:] Rhuhael gets to show off, and since I was planning this earlier but forgot, I'd might as well show off right now. [/OOC]
Thumpman's expression took a less excited tone. "Well, you gave me a great performance, so I believe I owe you a performance of my own." He said as he popped a CD into his stero/turntable, set the EQ settings to his favorite settings, and grabbed the remote for it. "Have a seat, GDK, I'll show you something my ex-fans would pay thousands to see up close." he shrugged. "At least that's what my old bass player told me..." the young man ended that last sentence with a sigh. "But, enough of that, I've got somethin' to show you." He took off his hat and sunglasses, and set them down on his stereo/turntable. He pressed the 'Play' button on the remote, and a basic techno beat started to play, Thumpman bouncing up and down on his heels to match its quick rhythm. He was about to try his breakdancing once again, a skill that he hasn't used since the band's last conert 4 months ago. Question is, could he still do it? Thumpman had an uncanny ability for all sorts of breakdancing. Some say it works like this: most people hear the music. If you're paying attention to it, you're listening to it. Usually breakdancers do not only that, but they feel the music to stay on-time with the beat. Thumpman didn't feel the music when he danced, he became the music. The beat was manually added in by Thumpman so he could better prepare himself to stay on-time. The actual song started to play, "Days Go By" by Dirty Vegas. As the actual music started, he started a perfect Robot-esque dance, much smoother and believable than most dancers out there. He went on like this, his smooth movements synonymous with the beat. He truly became the music. ...days go by and still i think of you days when i couldn't live my life without you without you... As these lines were sung in the highly-altered synthesized boice, Thumpman transitioned perfectly from a robot position into a Back-Spin. He then put one arm down, and started to do several turning Flares, then transitioning to a Helicopter spin, and somehow changing up to a Gyro-Headspin. He put his arms down from his rapid spinning into more Flares. days when i couldn't live my life without you without you... He jammed his feet into the ground, and did a quick frontflip, landing exactly as the music stopped. What a rush...that felt great! He rose from his squatting position and addressed his new friend. "So...do I still have it, or should I keep practicing? I havn't done this in a while, so I apologize if it wasn't as good as at my concerts..." Clearly his modesty was getting ahead of him, as it usually does after performances. |

Johnny nodded as Thumpman recovered from his headstand, and he applauded lightly.
"That... was impressive. I can see why the Thumpmastas were so famous now. I haven't seen any of your concerts before, so I can't comment on whether you've lost your touch, but I have seen many other breakdancers...and as of now, I'm more inclined to think of them as wannabes rather than breakdancers. The way you do it... I think I know what it's like. You're not just playing it or dancing to it, the music just carries you away, and you're riding the thing, right?" |

WeiBer cracked a grin at the man. "Hey, it's all cool. We've got time, I'm certain we can come up with something."
He went to shake the mans hand "WeiBer Rabe, welcome to the group."

He smiled. "That's what they say...I just like the thrill of the dance. It's a rush like no other, and I'm not just talking about the crowds afterwards." He shook his head. "Others do it for the money, or the fame. I do it just for doing it. That's the way every dancer should treat his routine, the way every musician should treat his music. That's how we got so famous..." his voice trailed off, echoing in the hangar.
"You know...I wonder why the other guys wanted to leave the band. We had it all, the money and the fame, but the chemistry of the band, the friendship, and the music...that's all I wanted. I could probably make it out there alone, like the way I used to back when I was a young teen, thirteen years old with a dancing and DJing talent, but it's the band that made it all worthwhile." Thumpman snapped out of his self-centered audible thoughts, and asked Johnny: "Do you know why we broke broke up? Were there any interviews on TV? I havn't watched the news lately, and I havn't heard from any of the other guys. Have you heard anything about the other ex-Thumpmastas?" He had a genuine look on his face. The fan-proclaimed leader of the former band truly didn't know what happened to the other members, and was bent on finding out. Last edited by Mr. Viewtiful; 02-26-2004 at 11:01 PM. |

Johnny held up his hands.
"Whoa, sorry man, but I'm new here, and while you guys were famous... I only saw you guys in the papers once or twice. I don't know much about the other Thumpmastas... well, I did hear of this guy calling himself Techmasta D. Don't know if he's realted, but he was pretty good." "But yeah, I know what it's like. I never really had a group, but I did play for some bands who were short a drummer at times. It's just working together, ,making something good happen... shame I had to give it up, but it wouldn't have been right for me to force myself into another band if they didn't want me around." |

Thumpman cocked an eyebrow. "Techmasta D? He was our sound technician and all-around handyman, among other things. He's more an inventor than a musician, but he does have talent, no doubt about it."
"And although you may not have a band, I don't either. So, young Johnny, would you like to be a Thumpmasta?" He asked.
