Touché, but we still have to see how they both actually play. I, for one, dislike (and actually loath) Bayonetta's character. We don't even have a single screenshot for Dante's Inferno, so it's too early to say anything other than:

"Don't compare yourself with GoW, it'll only be for the worst."

There's a size limit on them, hell, in Contra 3 you could understand how a Flamethrower, Missile Launcher or a Machine Gun could hurt them. Hell, if you wanted to make a good example, you should've said Doomsday on FF9.

Now, think about the giant Turtle in Contra 3 and imagine hitting that with a Handgun.

I guess you haven't played Devil May Cry, seeing that's exactly what happens with the bosses in that series.

Now, if you wanna get all picky and stuff why are Gold Swords and Gold Armours and Gold Helmets better than Steel Equipment in JRPGs?

Back to the Dante's Space or Dead Inferno or whatever-it-was, it doesn't look very rippy-offy at all. It looks more like if you combined Diablo with God of War, rather than being styled after DMC.

I own all 4... or more specifically, my brother does. The only one I really got into was the first one, up until the Giant Spider, and it was really cool, but also the insane ammount of time it took you to ACTUALLY deal any damage at all makes you think.

Ok, maybe I am being picky about it. Truth be told, all those feelings come directly from not liking the female hero at all.

She basically sounds like a sexy, female version of DMC3 Dante. As long as her lines are hilariously corny and I don't have to play this game in front of my parents, I'm totally cool with that.

EDIT: Also, I think it's hilarious that in a game where her hair is her clothes and it can turn into a DRAGON, you're taking issue with the fact that she's using pistols to fight the giant monsters as going beyond your suspension of disbelief.
