He's right.
I wouldn't have noticed if he hadn't said anything, but now that I've looked closer and noticed it I see it with even casual glances... bastard. Also: I like the 'invisible' background, character/s on the left, and that same font working together for all the banners. If/when you do one for Wong it should be in the same style. I'd do it, but I have less artistic skill than a coked up golden retriever.

Yeah. Not entirely sure what's up with that because I
- grabbed the colour from a screenshot of the forums with Photoshop's colour picker - made extra sure the values were the same in the forum settings and in Photoshop - made extra extra sure to lock that colour in the palette before saving as .png. Got an idea or two that involve different colour modes, though. As soon as I start my next "screw with forum settings" session I'll look into that and I'm not stopping before it's either fixed or I know why we can't fix it. |

...OR you COULD just make the background layer transparent. I'm pretty sure you can do that with photoshop.

Wong with transparency in four variations, you can see it's sloppily done but I had the file ready, so it took me five minutes to just cut that guy out. I don't have photoshop or some fancy pants thingy, though, so correcting my little mistake wasn't really possible. That last one here is just me funning around after those five minutes. It didn't turn out as great as I had imagined it, but I figured I'd post it anyway. So you know what I was doing those OTHER five minutes. Doesn't have transparency, though. EDIT: The problem with the Wongs is that I can't save alpha channels for some reason, duh.

darn it... i don't have access to the proper programs now, hope i'll have some before the deadline.
Just to be double sure about this... can i create a few of these themed towards the community, or should they all be centered around Brian's work? And if Community themed is ok, are Yodadog and Parrot-Beard allowed? Also, i understand you guys rather have PNG files, but Animated GIF's under 75Kb can be considered? |

So this contest thing kind of fell by the wayside, but now we finally got the rotation script working!
Still gotta look into the colour thing though. While the difference is just about noticable in Firefox it looks really jarring in Internet Explorer. Gonna dick around in Photoshop a bit more, I suppose. Thanks for the transparent logos, those will probably help. Please post any other problems you encounter with the logo rotation. |
