I never liked original Nirvana songs much, but I think I like every single one of the covers they've made. Obvious example. Also: Nude from Radiohead, covered by an unlikely group.

Becuase Hyperbole is a effin' miracle, who knows what it means?!
My all-time favorite cover is 'Under Pressure' by My Chemical Romance & The Used.

Really, I just came in here to make sure Johnny Cash's "Hurt" had been mentioned.
That said, I find Apocalyptica's version of Until It Sleeps to be much better than the original Metallica song. I love the cover, but I don't like the original at all.

I just want to say you could say, for example, that Manos the Hands of Fate is the best film of all time and you may be serious but I'm going to assume you are just jollicking around. Same applies here.

Also Amanda Palmer Performs the Popular Hits of Radiohead on her Magical Ukulele is probably worth the 84 cents for that title alone . And Magnetic Field's Book of Love is probably a lot less interesting than the cover we know and love from the Scrubs finale.

I don't care if you're being sarcastic. NOTHING can ruin Under Pressure and you just gave me another rendition for my playlist.

No actually it is a totally solid cover I can't think of another two groups who could have pulled it off as well, even though The Used is kinda like 'ugh god so whiney' most of the time and My Chemical Romance is... well ok see I actually really dig MCR but that is just my own issues I have to deal with.

Streetlight Manifesto does a Ska rendition of Such Great Heights by the Postal Service.
I'm a big fan of the Ska scene (as it's one of the few scenes remaining in any sort of popularity that features trombonists prominently) and this, in my opinion, does the original justice.

I am going to have to second the Johhny Cash cover of Hurt. So great.
I do like Marilyn Manson's cover of This is Halloween. Sorry for the link being an amv, it's too late to find a proper link.

Haha. Searching Hurt on Youtube actually brings up Cash before Reznor. So great.
