Ok, guys!

AB has by far approved of what I have come up with so far. I'm putting the NPC teams up for you all to see for feedback and what-not. Some spoilers are implied since some NPCs listed here have yet to appear...

The number beside the NPCs Trainer Name is the total base stats of the pokemons they have. Attempted range is within 2950-3200 although a few dip a bit higher and lower, especially for those with more prominent plot-roles.
I have also included the stats for the custom pokemons.

Note, that I'm still waiting for a profile for Jeanette's pokemons and Violet's form (or to be asked to make one for them. :3)

Pokemons already taken in Pokebrid forms:
Pokemons already taken in Pokebrid forms
Renny: Gallade
Matthias: Venomoth, Castform, Porygon Z
Lola: Lopunny, Chimecho, Altaria
Whitney: Gardevoir, Mismagius, Froslass
Rachel: Pikachu, Magnezone, Sharpedo
Silk: Kabutops, Quilfish, Bronzong
Laurith: Mantine, Gliscor, Empoleon
Muon: Miltank, Breloom, Dragonair
Dormond: Mawile, Zangoose, Houndoom
Melanie: Magcargo, Bellossom, Honchkrow
Heidi: Machoke, Heracross, Infernape
Aster: Lumineon, Lucario, Gastrodon
Moera: Mew (Unknown if she has any more. I'm asking AB)
Mio: Narcham, Harpressor, Raikner

On other news, I asked some questions to AB and got some answers.

*QUESTION* Regarding moves like Stealth Rock, Toxic Spikes and that sort of thing, do they work on all foes on the field or only on selected spots? I think it would be a good idea if they effected the entire field, given that otherwise the moves would do too little for the time it takes to lay them out and thus have little value given the huge battlefield size. (Although they could feasibly do the same to us unless we had a way to remove like like Rapid Spin).

*ANSWER ABOUT TRAP MOVES* Full battlefield doesn't sound gamebreaking. However, that would effect enemy reinforcements as well as your characters and Pokemon when switched out with Enforcers, and I think that won't be too much of an issue. Sounds expected, right?

*I assume he means that switch in traps only effect one side (the opposing side, DUMMY!), but they effect both pokemons and pokebrids/Slayers that step on the field when switched in instead of just pokemons. If so, that sounds logical and cool.*

*QUESTION* What happens if Ditto is sent out and there is no selectable pokemons or pokebrid forms to mimic? (I can only assume you wouldn't allow Ditto to mimic a Ruin General or Pokeweapon or something)
Also could a Ditto choose to copy an ally instead of being limited to copying a foe? At least that means there is never a reason why Ditto is unable to contribute, even if all the foes are unsuitable targets for transformation.

*ANSWER REGARDING DITTO* That's a tough one. I'm thinking that Ditto should be able to mimic Ruin Pokemon with some exceptions (can't mimic an Atunhand and turn a corpse into a Juggernaut, for example), though I intend to make so that there will be a lot of Pokemon-based enemies for Ditto to mimic, assuming you all don't kill 'em fast.
Ditto should be allowed to mimic allies. Oh, you can also have Ditto mimic Pokebrids and PokeWeapons, (Do you mean Pokemercs?) and you can decide which moves of that Pokebrid or Pokemerc form you want Ditto to have. Additionally, if Ditto's not the Leader Pokemon and he does mimic one, you'll have to choose four of the six that the leader has.

I'm also asking this:

*QUESTION* How will Sleep Talk work on a Pokebrid? Personally, I think Sleep Talk should allow us to choose the move we want to use instead of it being random. Sleep status is already hard to control unless you use Rest, and that takes up a turn, so that's already quite a bit of a hurdle. Allowing the ability to choose the moves while sleeptalking gives some pokemons another unique avenue to fight while taking out the frustration of randomization for both the players and the GM (who has to find SOME way to randomly choose out of all of those moves). ^^

On a side note, many legendaries not listed above are being made available to choose for teams (AB had them assigned but changed his mind on a bunch). However, there are few restrictions.

Mew, Lugia, Cressilia, Darkrai: All owned by villain and not to come to our hands any time soon.
Mewtwo: Owned by a different villain.
Reshiram: Cause I'm replacing my Magnezone with him.
Zekrom: Presumably because Drac is going to take him.
Victini: Reserved for Matthias as a form.
Manaphy: Owned by Regina

ANYHOW, once I get people's feedback and things look ok to proceed, I'll run up some movesets, items and stats (need to hand-crank all the pokemon's hitpoints stats according to our modified system. Not a problem though).

Anyhow, I'm off to work. See you all later!

Yes, I mean Pokemercs, sorry.

And you're right on the trap moves. Good lookin' out.

Honestly, I don't understand Sleep Talk and when it concerns a Pokebrid, it's just insane. How did talking in one's sleep become an attack, anyways? Unless the talking itself is an attack (like Growl or even Sing), I don't think a character who is asleep should be able to use a Thunderbolt or Psychic. 'Cause all yer doing is sleeping.

Then again, maybe it's just the name that I have a problem with. If they call it Sleep Action, I wouldn't have a problem.

Allowing Pokebrids to use their moves like usual during sleep because of Sleep Talk is fine, under one condition: no Rage gains when attacking.

For the same reason of having difficulty when choosing a move, I hope nobody decides to have their Pokemon use Metronome. Not sure why anyone would. The only time I ever had a Pokemon use Metronome was when Metronome was the only possible way it could attack an enemy (hey, it works, it's just shitty) outside of Struggle.

^^ Once in my gameboy game, I had my Togepi fighting against Gardenia the grass leader once all my other pokemons were knocked out. Tried using Metronome while I was in a pinch. Ended up with Sacred Fire on the grass type. ^^ Gotta love it when a gamble goes your way.

But yes, it's unpredictable and randomness is something you usually want to minimize. For the purpose of this RP, choosing a random move is nigh impossible to do with any degree of ease. I personally won't be putting that move in anyone's movesets.

Anyhow, to explain what is meant by sleep-talk, you could also replace it with "Sleep-walk" or any other sort of action where your mind subconsciously is acting without full knowledge. >_> There are many real life examples and many rumors too such as the guy who was accused of raping someone and his only "defense" was that he was asleep if he did it, and thus has no recollection of the act. Anyhow, I digress...

Anyhow, Sleep Talk has a neat trick with a certain someone with an Ursauring with Guts ability (Increases your attack stat when afflicted with a status condition). Ursauring falls asleep with Rest and heal up any damage it took and triggers Guts ability. When he uses Sleep Talk, he selects one of his other moves, Facade which does double damage when the user has a status affliction. So basically, the moveset has a Gut boosted Ursauring using a move that is 140 power before STAB bonus, and whom can't be stopped in combat by putting it to sleep. (It makes him stronger in fact!)

Alternatively, one can put it on a Milotic, and increase its defense when it is asleep (Marvel Scale ability), making it even more difficult to knock out. ^^

Ok, there has been no response to my list of pokemons for NPCs, so I'll go ahead and start with coming up with the movesets, as we wait for Drac's big post which will hopefully be completed soon.

I'll need to see what Dracorion posts so that I know what to post as well.

*snicker*

Hey, you guys wanna do another RP while we wait for Dracorion? We might even finish it by the time Dracorion posts, wa ha ha ha!

I'm thinking of a very silly omake RP called Pokemon Umbral: The Sealed Missions. Battles would be freeform (takes a lot less time and lets us get creative), the missions would be downright absurd...

Congressman: "The president has been kidnapped by ninjas!"
President Andricksen: "HEEEEEEELLLLLLP!!"
Rayleen: "Agents are...gooooooooo!"

Just a wacky idea I had. Don't pay it much mind unless you think it's actually a good idea. Then I'd have to get serious about it.

I'd kinda worry that Drac would then join the omake and not do the post we're all waiting for him to do. :3 And I wouldn't want to start an omake RP and ban him from joining until he get it done or something crazy/mean-spirited like that. ^^;

Hm.

It might be nice, rather than having it be omake, just making it into Umbral Lite.

You know, just silliness and shenanigans and freeform. I mean, PATCA is like SWAT, right? So they've probably gone on a lot more missions than just Ruin pokemon stuff. We could have some short, fun missions that may or may not involve the battle system, and we could have silly shenanigans inside the agency without having to wait like eight months for an intermission.

And yes, one of the missions would be showing that we're bad enough dudes to save the President.
