So I'm going to go ahead and call Solar at this point.
I'd like to start the campaign relatively close to the beginning of the time of tumult, right after the Solars began appearing in large numbers, the Scarlet empress' disappearance finally becomes common knowledge and as the Realm just begins its slow and inevitable fall into disintegration. I am thinking perhaps a setting in the West would be interesting, but it would of course involve a lot of sailing, buckling of swashes and the like. You guys down for a Solar pirate story? |

I think She Who Lives In Her Name is my favourite Yozi
It's funny, my grip on the Infernal mechanics is practically nonexistent but I had the idea worm its way into my head today of building the nicest, kindest defiler you will ever meet.
Free will is wrong!

I am totally down for pirates. I also might call The Dread Pirate Roberts as a character concept, or maybe Captain Hook would be interesting. So many fun pirate cliches and so little time.

I am considering Wavecrest as a starting point for the campaign with potential early plots involving the Volcano gods and the threat of the Coral Archipelago. Potential reasons for venturing to the shores of the Wavecrest Archipelago might include an interest in the first age enchantments that endowed its soil with incredible fertility, as a stopping point in an expedition to the far west in search of the fabled first age continent now thought lost to the wyld, the simple expedience of having been born there or nearby and being newly exalted or perhaps involvement with the guild and its attempt to disrupt the Western Trade Alliance.
I will start work on an opening storyline and try to give you guys enough info to develop back stories and reasons for being in the West. You can of course begin thinking up the more basic aspects of your character's backgrounds including what their lives were like before exaltation, the circumstances under which they were chosen by the Unconquered Sun and, of course, their statistics. You can find the 2.5 errata for free somewhere on white wolf's website if you don't have it all ready, it lists several changes in the character generation process, all of them for the better in my opinion. We will be using standard 2.5 character generation rules. |

If we goin' west I'll probably bring back my pirate girl but updated with errata as/if necessary.
Whom is a night caste and can sail pretty well, for everyone else's convenience.

A lot of times I feel like coming up with an Exalted story is like studying for a history exam.
I've got some ideas I'm trying to narrow down then flesh out, but it can be challenging to find something suitably epic in scale but not completely earth shattering for the first few stories, since by the time everyone hits essence 5 they'll likely be embroiled in the very literal fate of the world, but before then things have to be a bit more regional. |

What's everyone else going for? I'm not really commited to a caste or a concept yet.
Am debating a social character, but that's about it.

I'll probably either go with a swash buckler type (which probably means dawn but could also be zenith I guess) or fall back on my roots and go the artificer rout (but I'd rather not actually). So yeah tentatively dawn cast sword master or maybe like a little John type brute of a first mate to Krylo's pirate chick.
