Yeah I heard of that too. I asked Nintendo about it in a letter and they said it was coming Fall 2005, i think.

I beat this game, yay, I think the final boss' character was done very well, a sort of a insane tragic hero turned evil kind of thing...
My final team was:
Lloyd, Genis, Zelos, and Presea
I basically had Zelos on healing duty, except he can actually attack back unlike Raine.
When it came to difficulty this game was insanely easy, the only time I died is the first time i fought Sword Dancer 1 by accident when you very first saw it:/. Never saw the game over screen after that. Still fun and great game, although it takes a while for the storyline to pick up (It starts out as a FFX ripoff, I did like the homeage to SoM tho hehe), the storyline gets better once you get to the tower of salvation and whatnot.

So overall a pretty good game and probably the best of the Tales of series...

And for those that beat the game: He named the tree Yggdrasil, see Norse mythology, this game is referencing to that.

Yep, he's also Liquid Snake's voice actor. Knew it. And now that I'm told Cam Clarke has done a lot of stuff, I am intrigued to learn more.

Whoops, that's off-topic. So, yeah, Tales of Symphonia is good despite it's initial kiddy-looking style.

So I take it you-know-who doesn't come back? You know who I mean, right? =/

The difficulty is actualy pretty good so far; I died about 3 times and I find myself sweating on each boss. That can be changed with a few level ups, but, I like to challenge myself.

How long did it take you?

I'm planning to buy the game...

How does getting EXP work? Apparently there are multiple characters and more then your party can hold, so does this work like most RPGs were only those in the fight get EXP, or do all characters get EXP (Only example I can think of is Super Mario RPG)?

From what I noticed, everybody gets EXP. I would use only four character in my party, but the other three would be at the same levels. Go figure.

I think this is because the game forces you to split up your party more than a few times, which is annoying, because I only buy armor for my current party members.

My only complant so far is the puzzles. I generaly don't like puzzels in RPG's, it takes away from the general feel and makes it kind of tedious. Don't get me wrong, I like games like Legend of Zelda with puzzles, but RPG's usually tend to side towards strategy and puzzle solving just doesn't seem to work most of the time. Many puzzles in the game I couldn't figure out on my own because they required some off-the-wall logic that I couldn't think of. Or I'm stupid, you choose.

And if nothing else, it's really, really long. I've put in about... 26 hours so far and I haven't even reached the second disk, so I can only assume I'm not even half way through. You'll be putting some time into this one for sure.

It's a good buy, I'd reccomend it.

The game took me 43 hours to beat.

btw, I never bothered to stop and level up at all.
You Know who does come back, and actually you can choose whether or not you want him on your team:
At one point really late in the game Colette will ask you to go outside with her (its in the snow town) if you say yes, then you will end up keeping Zelos, but if you say no, then say no to every other character that asks you, You know who will replace Zelos at a point where normally Zelos pretends to betray you.

Any how, its up to you which one you keep really, I kept Zelos cuz well, I didn't even know you had a choice at the time, but Im kinda glad I did cuz the ending is imo slightly better that way anyway.

? despite?

Why would it give the initial reaction of not being good for that?

Because some people still have the mind-set that anything that is animated is for kids. Anime, Disney and not even Nintendo has been able to change their view of this so let's just take it as their view and let them keep thinking it.

Although it goes against everything I stand for as a person who wants to promote Games, Anime and as someone who is persuing a job in the Animation market. Oh, and also because most the games he plays use Character Designers who are also designers for comic books, Anime or probably did animation work at some point in their life.
