I will throw in my vote for Ico. It is one of the better games that I can remember right now.

I have found some remixes at www.ocremix.org that I like a lot more than the original scores.
The three that have made it to my play list are- http://www.ocremix.org/detailmix.php?mixid=OCR00772 http://www.ocremix.org/detailmix.php?mixid=OCR00205 http://www.ocremix.org/detailmix.php?mixid=OCR00897

Anyway, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has the best score for any game ever. They even used MP3 files instead of MIDIs to keep the quality up. Also noteworthy: Mario 64, and Goldeneye. |

The Halo 2 OST is very impressive, I've been going crazy learning it all on guitar over the last week. I love the main theme especially.
And you have to love the Legend of Zelda music, for any of the games, it's always so original and great to listen to. Every time I hear it, or even talk about it, it makes me want to play Zelda so much it burns. I feel like it now...

FF3j, FF5, and FF6 are all good. Heck, that theme that plays when you die in FF3j is great. It also plays when Desh (aka Dash, in some translations) dies. And the theme that Death on the Snowfield is based on is great. But how could you forget about Terra in Black!? Battle with Gilgamesh and Deception are currently my favorites. And, Home, Sweet Home, and The Prelude of Empty Skies, and Both Final battle themes and "What?". It's a pity that there are few remixes of FF5 on OcRemix...
Also, a few of the Zone of the Enders themes for the GBA. Finally, the music is not good cause Uematsu makes it. Uematsu is good, therefore the music is good. And, before I forget, I also like the Battle Theme for FF2j. That's a good thing, since you have to spend ungodly amounts of time hearing it.

The Wild ARMs/Wild ARMs: Alter Code F soundtracks (Game and it's remake, basically) have the best soundtrack, in my book. The only reason I'm even bringing up WA is because, the remake pulls out Zed's theme (; and completely, utterly destroys Courage. By and large, however, it is better. Michiko Naruke is a composer goddess.

I have to say that my current favorite is Half-Life 2. There's nothing that gets your blood pumping like catching some mad air on the boat and then having rock music pick up as the helicopter chases you down.
It's very well done.

Alien Hominid, by a long shot. I just got my copy and it is perhaps the last good shoot-em-up side-scroller in existance. The multiplayer option is great, and there's something satisfying about biting off the heads of screaming FBI agents...Check out the original Alien Hominid by the flash king himself
