After looking at all the evidence, I'm fairly certain that "Steve" is, in fact, Roy. He was the target of at least four different roles last night: Batman, Mafia, IHMN, and the Sniper. Sheb is most likely telling the truth about being the sniper.

The one role that I don't understand quite completely is Captain Combustible. What kind of self-aligned player would sacrifice themselves, even if they had the ability to do so? I'm thinking that an inexperienced imposter doesn't have complete control over his ability, just his target. Robin probably attempted to vig or investigate Roy, but ended up using a crazy protective/roleblocking/revenge role that killed everyone who targeted Roy except Sheb, for some reason. That, or Sheb can't be killed in that manner (giving him some crazy role). Of course, this part is all speculation.

So basically, Roy was the target of five roles last night, and created quite a stir. But we still don't know anything about him.

EDIT: Wait, wait, I have more to add. There is actually a seventh person mentioned: the doctor, and he saved Batman's life. I forgot about that part, but now I remembered.

I'm thinking Roy is either incredibly lucky, or incredibly hard to kill as a role. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he's damn lucky, because I'm starting to think I might have a chance to fail at killing (bet it's hard to aim a rifle with your legs shaking). That and the fact that he was saved by the inexperienced impostor in the death post. My question is how the Erroneous PO died. I mean it's probably a good thing we don't have that as a source of confusion, but it does seem a bit mysterious.
