Here's a sketch of something I finished not too long ago. It's my first attempt at drawing a duckbill platypus, and I'm quite proud, actually. I've just been experimenting some more on drawing animals since I've only drawn humans.

Do duckbills go quack? Because my sincere hopes is that they do. The picture's realistic enough to convince me.

I'm not so sure about "quacking" per say, but they do make growling and clucking (like a chicken) noises. The latter being kinda random, in my opinion..

And by random, I mean awesome! >>

wOot. I have lots of great stuff to catch up with on here.

Savage Thinking - I like your little skull-chibi thingies. They're quite charming and cute to look at. Especially Mr. Monacle. And your platypus thing is AWESOME. Great job!

Skweeb - Still lookin' awesome. I personally like the chips in the armor.

Tophat - Nifty style. I really like the non-lineart type look you're going for. And I love the fuzz on the coat. ^^

Nagel - There be some freaky stuff going on. But I especially love that kitten snuggling the big death creature. It's such a cat thing to do.

Doc Ock - Pretty nice sketches. I like the one in the middle. (of the previous page)

TDK - Nice drawings. Your first guy seems to have a big of a balance problem, as he kind of looks like he's going to fall over. Perhaps if you drew him more over his center of balance, it would help that. Your "Bow-Staff" pun made me giggle though. Bonus points for puns.

I... uh.... got the song Caramelldansen stuck in my head and I've been waiting for my friends to arrive for a visit, so the only possible result is this:

(rather large. sorry I still need to color it, so I forgot to make it smaller)

Ha! Caramelldansen, nice! That song's pretty awesome, as is your flash, Celes. I take it those individuals are the friends in question?

And Naqel, your animal ladies are kinda hot, especially the lizardy one. Your grasp of the female form is enviable, to be sure. Is it wrong that I might hit that? :p

Actually The Lizard is one of very FEW good drawings I made. I'm proud with this one too(original was prettier but "messy").

Do please resize these, it can be done easily enough in MSpaint even. Image>stretch/skew. In this case I'd imagine the size reduction could be done by 50% if not more on both the stretch and skew. Extra space that nothing is drawn on could be cropped out as well.

Celess, a few inbetween frames will smooth out the somewhat blocky animation. Even if they're just two inserted inbetweens at half the interval it'll make the key frames transition easier. Halfassed animation is halfassed, but it gets the general meaning across when it comes to inbetweens and key frames. Oh easytoon, loads of amusement in such a small program.

Ah yeah. Although it's not a flash. ^^ Just a gif I drew frame for frame (I WISH I still had flashmaker. D= ). But thankies!

Are you just talking about Naqel (sorry about the misspelling earlier, I do that a lot), or should I go back and resize my animation (I put it in the spoilers to make sure it didn't stretch the page)?

Ah yeah, I might go back and do that. I did it all in the span of about an hour or an hour and a half, so I wasn't really obsessed with quality this time around (just wasting time until my friends arrived). That's not an excuse for being sloppy, but it's my reason. ^^; I think when I have more time, I'll definately work on more frames to make it smoother.
