More fun with a tablet.
Incase you can't tell, it's one of my skull people in a penguin suit.

A birthday drawing for a close friend of mine. Vincent is one of her story characters whom she's always wanted drawn without looking completely pug fugly. Scary thing is...this is the first elf I've drawn. I dunno what to think of this. I've always been an orc/undead/dwarf man....The times, theys a changin and stop for nobodeh! Yeah I'm catching my stride with coloring in OC. Still don't like it but it's better than letting the wacom collect dust. |

Elves have sharp faces (well, from what I've seen based on D&D books), but I feel that certain things are lacking in the picture. First thing that comes to mind is the left jawline. The right side is just fine, but I feel that the left has the jawline that of a human's. Maybe just a slant upwards might help make it more symmetrical to the other side. Maybe slanting the eyes downward may help. Also, having his ear (even if its a little) poking out from his hair could also help give the "I'm an elf" vibe. I do find it interesting to explore different things, though (when it comes to drawing, anyway).

Wasn't basing him off of D&D elves or other cookie cutter elves, really. My friend's story basically has elves be slightly leaner framed than humans. Basically if their ears are covered up you wouldn't be able to tell them apart from lean humans.

Indeed, fantasy, among a lot of things are not set in stone. The best and most original designs often differentiate from the popular source materials.
Anyway, here's a lil' more concept/design stuff. Again İRyan Cole blah blah blah use em' for promotional stuff and I'll drive a rusty spike through your uvula and so on. |

Was at a loss of doodle ideas, couldn't get in the frame of mind to do any pieces for other people. So a good friend of mine insisted I draw myself as a pirate. So I did.
Some day I might have an epic sea beard. |

Rah I have a couple pages to catch up on.
Skweeb - I love your Lion-y thing from the previous page. It made me go "aww". And the hair on your one guy was really nice looking. Also, nice pirate. Dragon-Elf - Very nice chocobo. Great job on the beak. Beaks always seemed to be the part that gave me the most trouble. I like the shading you do. Savage Thinking - Great job for your first time with a tablet. I love the colors you chose. Fisi-Visi - Give me your hands... now. =D! Awesome! I've been kind of obsessed with Mother 3 lately, so... here's a sketch of Lucas. I did it really fast in one of my classes(it was originally only about an inch tall), decided I liked it, and decided to re-do it, in a bigger form.

Awesome pirate, lathough I do have one question. How is he holding his bottle o' rum? I see the thumb, but the fingers seem to be absent. Forgive for my ignorance, but it's been obthering me. CelesJessa: Really loving the drawing, especially the hands. The main thing that sticks out to me is the bloated forehead. One side looks like it was blown up like a balloon. Kind of like an Akira thing going on or something. Other than that, it looks really awesome.
