That's awesome, CJ. Your coloring looks even cooler.

Okay this thread took an age and a half to read through! I'm glad I did though. Some of you have quite a bit of skill!
Drawn using a mouse in Facebook's Graffiti application. Basically allows you to set colours and transparency and off you go! I'll tell you drawing with only a mouse with no effects is quite a challenge! Can't believe these are over a year old now: It just seems like yesterday I was redrawing straight lines over and over again. I should probably do some more when my work load has died down.

I've since forgotten how to use a mouse to draw. It's kind of sad.
TDK - holy shit the glowing doom. XD Definitely several steps forward from your previous works - I might use the burn tool along say, the left edges, just to give the lighting a bit of direction. But then again they're up in the clouds and there's light everywhere anyway. (hopefully the subject matter doesn't make anyone angry. :P)

I was bored at work during one of the slow hours on election day (yeah, I've been meaning to post this since election day), so while left alone with a green pen and a few scripts, I came up with half of an unemployed evil scientist.
Yeah, I don't know what that is on his head, either. Hat? Hair, maybe? I'unno. I was bored. I just free handed the whole thing, so it's kinda awkward and disproportionate (Hey, I drew it at work; I didn't have a lot of time to get really into the under drawing). But I'm quite pleased with how the shading turned out on his clothes.

Okay, so since the actual thread fell flat with a resounding "meh," I'm not going to press it. I do need feedback on these sprites, though, and since they're closer to a sketch than anything having to deal with forumites, this is the best place I could think of to get it. This is the size they'll end up at in-game, unless the monitor stretches them at full-screen or something. If you looked at my design sketches, you'll probably notice some major changes. I needed to find a way to modernize some designs and make others look older. Some I just made more elaborate. If anyone still is interested, I may scan and upload them later.

And the Skweeb swoops in when the meh strikes, once again!
Been busy working and such, so arting time has been on the backburner. Quicky doodle I owed for a friend. Usual vein o' WoW characters yes. A speed sketch 'n color, good practice them quickies can be for a variety of things. 'Course there are things that I'd like to tweak and change for finer tuning..but eh I got enough on my to-do plate as is. |

There hasn't been enough feedback, so:
Corel-Those are really neat! Very good for mouse-drawings. The coloring is definitely shiny. Teh Swkeeb: Awesome as always. Got any tips for that coloring style? I seem to have adopted the same one you use. :P Blues: Those remind me of early NES adventure game sprites. Very good if that's what they're supposed to be. |

I thank you kindly TDK. The one thing I like about drawing on a PC is that I find editing and removing items to be much easier than that of pencil drawing where I will smudge everything left, right and centre!
Anyway, here are some more Facebook mouse doodles which are from ages past. People who have played this know what I'm trying to get at: This doodle was for my friend's 21st: Last edited by Corel; 11-26-2008 at 04:43 PM. |

Corel: That first one is beautiful. I'm not sure what it's supposed to be, but I like it. The rose is really nice, too.
That's actually exactly what I was going for. This makes me happy.
