Khael- Holy cow. Bears with opposable thumbs? My world has been rocked.

TDK - Very ferocious bear! The guy in the bottom of the first picture looks like "holy shit"

I drew something tonight! I am really really happy with it, even though it's just a sketch. Normally I dislike my anime pictures because of the boring poses or whatnot, but I'm really happy with this one. I'm hoping to make it kind of look like a fake screenshot.

No refrences either! (I mean, other than to see what Alphonse was wearing when he was getting his body de-alchemized and such)

My scanner is borked so I have to use my mom's scanner and slow computer and transfer them to my computer...And its fuckin' annoying, so I guess I gotta cut back and only post my favorite doodles.

I choose these two out of the ones from the past couple days:

Referenced bear^

And:

Chainsaw tank.

If anyone knows what a tiller is, the thing on the end of those is what the treads on there are made of, basically.

So, I had about an hour and a half to kill before I had to go to my class today and this happened:

One thing that bothers me is how I pulled off the Chun Li hand on the one on the bottom left. Dang pen...

Default Why do I continue doing this?

Skweeb - Very nice. It must hurt to have some skull exposed. Ouch! Still, very great job. It's always interesting to see what you do with your pictures.

TDK - That is quite the... chainsaw tank. With the handle, I have to wonder, is it small enough to hold?

Doc Ock - Kefka's creepy smile creeps me out. Which I assume is the effect you were going for, so... good job!

Savage Thinking - Hah nice. Your little style people always intrigues me.

blah blah blah, finished previous sketch. blah blah

Every time I see that I have to remind myself that it isn't a screenshot from an anime.

Which is to say it looks absolutely perfect.

Gotta agree with you on that. It wouldn't look a bit out of place in Avatar or something similar. Good job, Ceej!

See, what sticks out to me is the face and right arm. With the arm, the way it bends kind of makes it look rubbery. Adding some elbow detail either inside or outside the sleeve would help. Now the face; it looks too wide. The right eye is way too far apart. It looked better in the sketch but when it's colored, moving it over just a bit would help a lot (moving the pupil to the right just a tad would help as well). Also, it looks like he shaved off some of his hair on the side of his face. Although I'll admit that's kinda debatable. The shadowing of the nose seems off.

Speaking of shadowing, it looks like someone got lazy when shadowing the pants! Shame shame, CJ. =D

The coloring is absolutely effin' gorgeous, though. Great job.

Excellent. That's what I was hoping to go for. =D I even was a nerd and did a version with some fake subtitles on it, to see if I could go for the full effect.
Very glad that you all liked it

Ah yeah, the arm has kind of bugged me. Hmm, and as far as the face, I wonder why it makes things look farther apart when colored. Interesting color theory!

Actually I spent about as much time on his pants as I did coloring the rest of him. XD The pants just ended up looking bad. I knew I should have gone back to fix them. Maybe I will do that... Pants are BORING. XD

Thankya, in all honesty, the colors are really awkward where they are (his face is a weird shade of purple) and it just looked crazily wrong until I finished shading everything. Which seems to be a lesson: sometimes things won't look good until you're done. Because Alphonse's face colored, even with the base layers of everything else colored, still looked really wonky and purple. And it's hard to pick colors that are, say, blue in natural light, but with that amount of purple light, are purple, but you still know that it's supposed to be blue. XD; Complicated! But I'm pleased. Normally I'm not the best at picking colors. Glad you thought the coloring was well-done.

EDIT:
Messed with the coloring on the legs a bit, is this better, perhaps?
