Oh, don't worry, I'll do that for you. Here:

Believing in patently false, man-made fairy tales is stupid.

Mmm, volatile.

PS: My friends said the movie sucked? Verification?

One of the greatest challenges facing civilization in the twenty-first century is for human beings to learn to speak about their deepest personal concerns—about ethics, spiritual experience, and the inevitability of human suffering—in ways that are not flagrantly irrational. We desperately need a public discourse that encourages critical thinking and intellectual honesty. Nothing stands in the way of this project more than the respect we accord religious faith.

It's a remake. The original wasn't short-changed by the technical means of the time, so it was essentially perfect as it was. Seeing the remake is a waste of time and money; and waste sucks.

That means that the remake sucks automatically. Go go unhelpful pontification!

Insulting religion comes fairly easy to you, from what I've been reading your posts.

=/ Reminds me of religious extremists, only without any semblence of a religion.

Bah. Discussing religion is boring anyways. The point is, the date has no significance, not that the initial concept, which has been taken out of it's own context and bastardized into a date that's 2,000 years off the mark, is stupid.

God isn't the tooth fairy. You can actually prove the tooth fairy doesn't exist with a camcorder, two pillows, and a tooth.

I think we're getting an active demonstration of why religious discussed is banned on these forums and respectfully request a close or an official "SHUT UP ALREADY" before further flamebaiting ensues or is bitten.

Locke, you know that's inappropriate. You were testing the waters, and they're not safe for swimming: There was an undertow coupled with a riptide that dragged you out to sea for a few days. Don't worry, you'll make it back to shore in about a week. Your endurance will increase, but your resistance to Mod Spell: Perma Ban has been reduced. That's a reference to NPRPG, a special little something that I've been keeping a secret because it doesn't exist. But you know what I mean

A few others were toeing the line. If this were another videogame, I'd liken your situation to the Oregon Trail. While traveling, you were bitten by a snake. Jebediah attempted to administer Ipecac, and it worked. But just barely. Next time, Jeb might be a little slow. That's a warning. Take it easy with religion and flaming.
