We covered that last page on page two, Seil. There were, like, five posts about it.

As for The Frog Prince, eh, I could care less what activists think as long as they're not banging down my door. If someone could point out an instance of a Disney movie causing a riot, I might be concerned to the point of dropping the "eh" of my previous sentence.

I didn't realize that they already cast Eartha Kitt and recorded songs back when they were still going to make it a serious movie with a villain trying to steal the sun. That must have been a nightmarish production.

They have worked on that since The Little Mermaid. Beauty and the Beast is probably the best example of the opposite of that odd habit of Disney characters.

Martial law had to be declared after people went to see "Snow Dogs," only to find that the dogs only talked in one scene as opposed to throughout the entire movie as the commercials had implied. Granted, this made it a slightly less retarded movie in the end, but middle America didn't care.

They.... They just didn't care....

Honestly, people get up in arms about the stupidest things. Like barely noticeable and hardly pronounced glowing blue wangs.

That said, it's entirely possible to make a racism related stink about anything.

2 white people getting married? There's no black people, this is keeping the people down!
A white and a black person getting married? So you say that black people have to elevate themselves to marry white people!
2 black people getting married? Well I guess white people are too good for black people!

Such important issues tend come up in the subtext of works, which a lot of people seem to neglect.

Actually, Disney should move into the 21st century and have there be a love triangle in The Princess and the Frog where the self-actualized black woman has to choose between the white European suitor (who has been turned into the frog) and her childhood friend, who is also black (and has also been turned into a frog).

Then she ends up choosing both and they all get married to each other in a bigamous relationship, defying society's conforming restrictions on who we can love, and how many people.

Can you imagine the amount of PC screaming if Disney tried something like that in a current movie?

What toned them down in the last decade or so?
