The only reason I'm at all still interested in the rest of the LP is because I honestly try to separate the creators from the product with most everything I do. Brian presents himself extremely well and comes off very intelligent, but he's mostly the exception, IE, Squidi's bright and shining heroic tirades to protect his copyright on pseudo-Sega Master System sprites and ignoring that the one thing his comic did well (The writing) was the focus all along.

This, however, I feel hits a fine line between my usual ability to enjoy something and not give a crap about who made it versus my hatred of misogyny and stupidity. Pirating it would effectively deny them the money I was more than willing to spend on the LP, but at the same time I wonder if I can even hear any more music from them without consciously knowing they thought The Carpet is Lava was 'funny.'

I've been flip-flopping ever since.

But that's just me.

It's one thing to quip here and there, or make a song that is genuinely ironic in its treatment of the subject, or has some kind of point; it's another thing to make a video that's just three or four minutes of a girl getting the shit kicked out of her to put her in her place with no other elements beyond a girl getting the shit kicked out of her.

I mean, if it had been even remotely entertaining, I could forgive a lot, but this is up at like "Quagmire rapes Marge Simpson" levels of WTF.

I hate over the top, controversial humor.
See, my problem is that the video isn't funny. Or anything really. The girl getting beaten up is all there is.

Awesome art be here.

My question: What has this got to do with the kid's game "The Carpet is Lava"?

If I recall the two have broken up now. There was some drama on their myspace journals.

Something involving musical tastes, girlfriends and the like.

If this is what these boards are like, it upsets me to a great degree. I hope that everyone isn't like this unwelcoming person.

The drama has never been ultimately revealed. Musical tastes are common between people, and usually leads to stuff like that. (especially Duane's hard rock based influence as opposed to Brando's "Mike-Patton-esque" alternative influence).

To be honest, I'm not surprised, but it's a great loss.

So far you have Necro'ed a couple of threads and posted a wide selection of one-liners aimed at raising your Post count, that and the fact that most of your posts (if not all) contribute little to nothing.

Yeah, Archbio got the right idea so far...
