"Sounds like a plan," Ralts said with a slight tone of excitement in his voice. "Let us get into our position, the fools won't know what even happened to them, and if their survival becomes necessary, I'm sure our pal here can fix them up," Ralts then put a hand on Vit's shoulder with an amused look on his face.
"I have a feeling we are going to all get along very well," the Red mage chuckled to himself as he surveyed the area, prepared to get into position. |

Bello nodded his head. "Un, sounds safe. I'm in. Let's go before they start leaving and ruin everything."
OOC: But understand that I'll have to wait until the morning to do my part, and that, if we're not ready to go then, I'll be unable to post until, like, 9:30PM EST Sunday. But after that I can fight!

The group moves past the dark room, careful to make sure any light sources are put out before they cross. After that, they enter the room filled with water; though the bridge across the room is a little low, it doesn't take much effort to jump down and then back up to cross it. For those that bother to look at the rope, though, they would notice that it's been weighed down - tied to the body of a galka floating near the water face down.
Finally, you make it to the room just before the treasure room. Your group assembles as they have been planned, with Bello standing at the door and the rest of your group by the walls for cover. Then, Jal pushes the button - opening the stone doors that keep them from their target. The door begin to slide apart. Already, before it was completely open, Bello could peer inside, to see the chamber where the treasure was held. It wasn't a small room, but it wasn't a big one either. Here, the carvings from before made their reappearance - this time, covering not only the walls, but the ceiling and floor as well. Only one thing was made untouched by the carving - a stone box, placed near the back of the room. There were two people here - the intruders. Both were galkan, garbed in an unknown black uniform. Though there was no particular design to note on their pants, on the back of their jackets was an odd symbol - a pair of upside down bat wings, centered around what appeared to be the barrel of a cannon. Still, more curious than their uniform are their weapons. The younger Galka carries on his back a Gunlade, while the older, taller one wields a harpoon gun - both exotic weapons, even for adventurers. "Look, stop complaining, Wedge. I told you already, I brought an extra pair of pants," the younger one says. "That's not the issue here," the one called Wedge says, while rubbing his brow. "We already lost Piette. Biggs, it's time you manned up and-" Of course, it ended quickly, as the sliding stone doors caught their attention. "What's that sound?" 'Wedge' asks, turning around. Raising his weapon, he turns to see Bello. Biggs does likewise, and even begins to run towards Bello with his weapon... But that's pointless. Wedge fires. Before Bello can do anything, the harpoon catches him in the arm. Then Wedge, with a simple tug of the rope, pulls Bello into the room with them. Bello takes 1 Damage. "Well, what's this we got here?" Wedge asks, raising a brow. "Another grave robber, is it?" "What should we do, boss?" Biggs asks, even as he pulls the harpoon out of Bello for the entertainer. "Shut up, I'm thinking," Wedge says, with a frown on his face. As the two try to decide Bello's fate, though, the entertainer can hear yet another voice in the room - one by the treasure. "What can I -unh- say?" a squeaky voice called out from behind the treasure chest called out, the source of which was busy shoving at the lid in an attempt to open it, "I -oof- always make -gah- sure to pay off my debts at the earliest opportunity. -Urrrgh- Come on already! ...Buh?"
His attention drawn by the tarut that was now being dragged via harpoon like a caught fish, the moogle hopped up on top of the chest, dressed to the nines in an a dark olive suit, the jacket left open to reveal not just the gold, silken vest underneath but the pair of revolvers holstered at his hips. Ashen gray fur framed a white face that peered down at Bello, inspecting him from behind the royal purple pom-pom that hung from the top of his head. As the entertainer spotted him, everything behind the moogle seemed to vanish into blackness for a moment, and life sort of paused for a moment as if time itself was standing still for this particular scene. Small in size, but big on chutzpah To him, life is merely a game And he's going for the high score... "What the kupo was that?!" Prasad asked incredulously, leaning back and folding his arms as time decided to start behaving normally again, "'Oh hey, look, it's some guy! Let's all chase him into the Hallway of Death!' Well done, sir. No, really."

"I'm so sorry," Bello pleaded with his captors. "I'm just a curious Tarut who happened to wander across these ruins. Please don't hurt me." The Bambie eyes turned on here. "I just wanted to know what was here, and it was so difficult to come this far. If you'll spare me, I'll sing songs of your great deeds in infiltrating this place. Please don't send me back by myself."

Bello's puppy eyes nearly dealt Biggs fatal damage. Clutching at his chest as though he had a heart attack, he turned to Wedge - and asked a horrifying question.
"B-boss, can we-" "No," Wedge said, cutting his subordinate off. "But you didn't even-" "No, you can't keep it." "But-" "And no more buts! Damn it Biggs, I told you to man up already! Besides," he added, glaring at Bello. "This is a boy, you should know." "A boy?!" Biggs steps back in shock, staring at Bello as if he were betrayed. "But there's no way that she could be a boy!" "Yes he is. I'm sure of it. Besides, there's something more important - like the fact that he's an intruder. There's no way some could just randomly walk through the desert, and then pass through the traps and - dear god, would you get your hand away from there?" Biggs did as his commander commanded. Said hand, which was reaching towards Bello, was pulled back - and Wedge stepped in between Bello and Biggs. "But I was just going to check!" "...my dear boy, just what's wrong with you?" |

As the pair of galka bickered over the fate of their tiny captive, Prasad peered out toward the door, squinting as he tried to see if anyone else was out there. Though unable to make out anyone distinctly, he got a sense that there was at least one other lying in wait.
"You've got a point there, uh... Wedge, was it?" the moogle spoke up, deciding to play the odds to his favor, "There's no way this little guy made it here alone. You gentlemen should go out and take a look." ---------------------- Made an awareness check over IM with Truce, detecting Ralts but not any of the others.

Listening intently to the conversation happening just around the corner, Jal signals the others with a open palm to hold positions, so as to stay as silent as possible. He ponders trying to signal that the red mage prepare a spell to cast, but can't figure out quite how to do it.
Making a mental note to come up with silent hand gestures for all kinds of things in the future, Jal stealthily edges to the corner, drawing his daggers in complete silence. --------- Stealth check to move to the very edge of the door unheard while preparing daggers. Planning to sneak attack the first person to poke their head through the doorway. Edit: Yes, I know thieves don't get sneak attacks in FFRPG, it is a figure of speech. Really just hoping to be in short range at the beginning of a hopeful preemptive round.

vrrrrrmmmmm
"Guguguguh." A motorbike rattled down the stairs entering the ruins, it's green clad rider rattled with it. She picked up momentum as she accelerated down the empty first two chambers, leaned in tight to the body of her bike, a massive sword strapped to her back. Roaring into the third chamber, she didn't bother to evade, racing over the trapped tiles. Arrows fired, their target passing too quickly for them to catch her and breaking on the walls behind her speeding flanks. Vrrrrrmmmmmmm She shot into the darkened opening of the next room, headlights making shadows race before her. Stony leviathans rumbled into life, hefting granite weapons, but the bringer of light was gone before they could catch her, catlike ears laid back against her head and her black hair streaming out behind her. Entering the flooded next chamber, she dropped heavily onto the low bridge, throwing off its equilibrium as her end sank and the other end rose. Using it as a makeshift ramp, she jumped off the end and cleared the gap to the raised over side, rear wheel catching on the lip for a second. Now in the room with the trapped ceiling and with no sign of slowing, she shot across the obstacle free floor, flashed a grin at the adventurers gathered against the far wall as she sped through the slightly ajar final door. VRRRRMMMMMMMMMM Wedge stepped in between Bello and Biggs, just as Biggs pulled back his reaching hand like Prasad ordered. "But I was just going to check!" he complained. "...my dear boy, just what's wrong with you?" Wedge asked. Then a riderless motorbike rammed into him, carrying him with it. Its rider touched down on the ground a few steps behind the space he'd so recently vacated, levelling a gargantuan cleaver-like weapon at Biggs. "Sorry I'm late." the Mithra announced to Bello and all other persons in earshot. "Who the hell are you?" she asked Prasad, Biggs and Wedge.

Letting out a shout of, "SHIT!" Jal stumbled back at both the burst of air and the shock of the motorcycle bursting past him, destroying all pretenses of stealth the group had been working on so carefully in a matter of seconds. It was only through pure
Waving a hand toward the open door, Jal quickly regained his footing and cried out a, "Let's go!" to his companions, charging into the room. As he rounded the corner the woman was leveling her massive sword at one of the galkans in a threatening manner. "Who the hell are you?" she asked the three interlopers. "Who the hell are they? Who the hell are YOU?!", Jal shouted out as he dashed into the room. -------- Moving medium distance into room as close to the closest adversary as possible without actually entering melee range.
