Same here. Once you get the hang of it, you can make it do a lot.

Also, glad to see someone else giving the GIMP some credit. It has a learning curve, and isn't as easy to use as some other programs, but when you learn it, you can do a lot with it.

And yeah, I think the font is Arial, possibly bold.

I have a smiley base for anyone who wants to make new ones. There are plenty out there already, though. We can probably safely leave those decisions for last.

Edit: PS, ever since the overhaul to the base, Paint.NET has been slightly retarded about drawing fonts slightly too thin or just not the way it used to (and generally it doesn't look as good). So someone else can feel free to use the button base I made up to re-create the edit button. It's just a wiped-out quote button, and it should probably be pared down to better fit, but I wanted to make sure there was ample room to work with:

The old one was like that, only without the silver part. The two blue ends were pushed into a ball, although I'm not sure if it's actually necessary to do it that way. Can an admin pop in and tell us if there's a size restriction?

I had the button base a few pages back, if you missed it. :P

But anyhow, I remade both the buttons, so that they look proper next to each other.




Edited them to make it look like it would in real life.

I'd recommend you take the black border off of Onion Kid before resiing it, and resize with anti-aliasing. It'll look a bit less junky that way.
