Character Name: Jack Chorster
Gender: Male Age: 28 Organization: Big Bad Wolf Limited Class: Addict Special Abilities: The effects of the blood Jack drinks differs on the kind of demon. He keeps his fridge stacked with Lesser Demon blood, as well as Demonic Hybrids and Blood Summoned demons. Due to the rarity of their appearances, he has never had Greater Demon or Outcast blood. As such, he has no idea what their effects on him would be. The powers he gains only last for so long, varying from the type of demon the blood came from. He can go two days on Lesser Demons, a day on Blood Summoned and less than 24 hours on Demonic Hybrids. If the effects pass and he hasn't ingested demon blood again, Jack crashes, the severity varying depending on the type of blood he last drank. Enhanced senses: After ingesting demon blood, Jack's senses are enhanced. His eyesight is sharper, hearing is keener, smell is more accute. Under Lesser demon blood, it's three times increase. For Demonic Hybrids, it's six times. When it comes to Blood Summoned demons, it varies depending on the sacrifice, but Jack usually carries blood from a Blood Summoned human sacrifice, which grants him around five times enhancement. Enhanced Strength, Speed, Endurance: Under the effects of demon blood, Jack becomes stronger, faster and tougher. Demon sense: Due to his extended exposure to their blood, Jack can sense the presence of demons (well, their blood) in a 20-mile radius. Hand-to-hand fighting: To use the advantage granted to him by demon blood to the fullest extent, Jack has trained himself to be excellent at hand-to-hand combat. Weapons expert: To use the advantage granted to him by demon blood to the fullest extent, Jack has mastered the use of several close-range and long-range weapons. He's an expert using swords, knives and polearms, as well as hanguns, rifles and shotguns. Bio: Jack was a perfectly normal kid until he was thirteen years old. At thirteen, he was kidnapped by a group of Lesser Demons who experimented on him for five years. They were altering humans to be empowered by the blood of demons, and they succeeded. Jack had become addicted to the blood. What they didn't expect was that Jack would be so powerful, or that none of their conditioning worked and he turned on them. It didn't help that as part of the experiment they taught him what would be the beginnings of his combat training. Jack never returned home. Instead, he travelled, using his abilities to get money and continue his training. After seven years, he finally found a steady job with Big Bad Wolf Limited. His explanation for his abilities is that the demons that kidnapped him were actually trying to summon a Blood Demon and the summoning went wrong, leaving Jack with full control of himself and all of the demon's strengths and weaknesses. Equipment/Belonging: Jack wears a brown leather jacket over his jeans and shit. He carries a seemingly unlimited collection of throwing knives hidden around his person: up his sleeves, in his pockets and around his ankles. "How many of those you got?" "How many do you need?" Dual swords and two Beretta 92s in his belt, a Remington 870 shotgun and a AK-101 rifle on his back, as well as extra ammo for everything. He also carries a couple of flasks of Lesser Demon blood with him in case of emergencies, as well as several empty flasks to replenish on the field. Notes: I didn't count Least Demons because those sound to me more like mind controlled humans than people actually being physically possessed by demons.

Hmm..., you know what, I'll write up a new character. I like Abdul, but he was probably the most useless character last time. Besides, Teal's character fulfills a function similiar to his, and is overall more useful. I'll have the sheet up later today.

If I said I have no idea what you mean, would you believe me? For the record, I wasn't hard on your illusions because we'd picked similar characters. I really was worried about the balance side of it. Didn't see how similar they were until I was explaining the shapeshifting thing.

Character Name: Simon Lombardi
Gender: Male Age: 27 Organization: Big Bad Wolf Limited Class: Demo-Man Special Abilities:
Bio: Simon was born in Louisville Kentucky, and lived a pretty easy and quiet life. This was all fine and dandy for a time. Simon went to school, played sports, and was fairly unremarkable, if a little bit hyperactive. Well... aside from his abilities. Throughout his life, Simon was always a fan of fireworks. Living in Louisville, home to one of the biggest fire-work shows in the world, only pushed this a forward a bit. It was in about 6th grade that he first took notice of his ability. He was skipping stones down a creek, when one of the stones burst into fire. He thought of it as nothing but a freak-occurrence at first, but when he threw another one, it to combusted in a similiar fashion. After some practice, he found he could blow-up small objects with semi-regular results. These were just small rocks though. It was similar to a fire-cracker. Due to his lack of focus or intelligence, it took Simon a while to reall hone this ability or improve it, so his progress was slow. He mostly just used it to mess with people. Gradually though, he managed to improve it, to a point that the explosions and items could become much more impressive and powerful. This came to use on a simple day when he was making his way home after work, at age 20. Out of an alleyway, a man with a knife walked towards Simon and demanded that Simon give him his wallet. Simon proceeded to blow the knife up in the mugger's hand and tackle him to the ground. The incident gained hims a small amount of renown in his town, but Big Bad Wolf Limited also took notice. They gave him an offer to use his abilities to help them. After seeing how good the pay was, Simon joined without a second thought. Despite, or in spite of, his lack of rational thinking, Simon has managed to survive and thrive for a whole 7 years. Protecting the Mother of Hell may change that though. Equipment/Belonging:
Notes: Simon is a brash fellow. He has little care for subtlety and often does things just because they may look or seem cool. He can be a bit quick to act or assume, but he is overall a well meaning guy. He just isn't that smart. --- Last edited by Bard The 5th LW; 05-02-2010 at 05:13 PM. |

Character Creation Nazi-powers, GO!
Loki: Approved.
Dracoion: There are a number of things I have to veto in there: First off, it is coming off as a overpowered.. Six time strength seems a bit excessive (go from benching 200 lbs to 1,200 lbs? No), and sensing demons twenty miles away? Way too far. Also, it is not like there is a large supply of demon blood out there. Big Bad Wolf Limited isn't a specialized demon hunting group (hence why the Protectors a better demon killers), and most dedicated demon hunters don't really go for tissue samples after. If you manage to convince me to let you keep the concept, you're supply is going to be rather limited. And you also need better justification. Demon's wouldn't be interested in figuring out how to make humans strong with demon blood when A) They can accomplish the same thing by just getting the human possessed by a demon or sacrificed for a demon, B) demons who are smart enough to do such experiments would be start enough not to do it with demon blood seeming as it requires...well...demon blood with usually requires dead demons C) demons who have managed to this bodies in this world are generally interested in spreading death, destruction, and trying to open the gates, not kidnapping random people to experiment on them for five years. So...basically no, I guess. If you tweak it really hard and give me really good reason to be powered by demon blood, we can work with this...but it might be easier to start with a fresh character. On a side note, why is there always a guy who has to drink demon blood or eat demon souls in any RP concerning demons? Bard: I thought I had addressed this in the sign-up, but it appears to be something I missed...my mistake. Basically, this is a modern setting RP. I'm with going to a little high on the high tech scale...but really, a mecha is over doing it. I appricate the fact you tried to balance it and everyhting...but no mecha. Like I said, i thought I had spelled that out in the opening post. My mistake for not making sure it was in there, but still...exnay on the echamay. EDIT For your information SIGN-UPS WILL GO ON THROUGH MONDAY!. This is mostly because I won't have time to kick this off until then. In the meantime...well...yeah.

If it helps, Jack wouldn't be getting 6x strength too often. Still, I get your point. How about 1.5x, 2x and 3x for Lesser Demon, Blood Summoned and Demonic Hybrids respectively? Quote:

This is all stuff I can edit into Jack's profile, you know. Quote:
But yeah, if you still can't approve Jack I'll see if I can't come up with a new character.

Rewote Simon, check the previous profile. I'm once again waiting for approval until I write the bio. I still got character concepts, so don't worry about vetoing if you don't like it. I'll give it up without argument.

I'll only do it when it's creepy! Like how Vampires can only teleport when they're trying to be scary, but when the Vampire Slayer pops in with his awesome skills, they jump and dodge like any other person.

Dracorion: We'll hit the high points and worry about the details later, if it comes to it.
Quote:
And, really, the main goal of the demons here, even if they are just operating in a temporary alliance, is to open the Gates. Once the open, the power scale doesn't start at "least", it starts at the equivalent of the high end of "blood-summoned" and goes up from there, with a healthy dose of Greater and Outcast/Fallen level, since they don't have to use any energy to anchor themselves. Basically, if the demons get what they want and the Gates open, the "demon blood army" doesn't amount to spit on the sidewalk on a hot day. Quote:
I mean, really. If there was a super-soldier program, and someone asked "What do you use to power them up?", and the answer was "Human blood", you wouldn't think to yourself "Oh, okay." You'd think to yourself, "What, are you crazy? Isn't that just asking for these guys to go rogue and start killing people to get their super-human fix?" And you know that is going to be a SyFy original movie someday. Really, why would demons want to make a superhuman army that is powered off of demon blood? How is that not a recipe for disaster on the demon's part? Quote:
Heck, getting back to a previous point, demons would just use cultists in an experiment like this instead of kidnapping random people off of the street. Why give super powers to random, unknown people when you can give them to loyal, obedient minions? Quote:
And demon's can mind control per se, but the untrained by be possessed by least demons. About the same, but you have to summon each least demon individually. Not that I really see what mind control has to do with your character, seeming as I assume he wasn't mind controlled, seeming as he killed the demons holding him. Quote:
------------------------------------------------------------------- Bard: That will work. But I will tell you the same thing I told Krylo: Simon does have to follow orders to an extent. If he was a complete loose cannon, Big Bad Wolf Limited would of have hired him.
