Gee, I must have missed something. I thought he was busy moving for two days like he posted. I heard nothing about him being sick.
Well, I wish him good health at any rate. |

This post here shows he had a set time at hand which would be odd in the case of sickness(and he said in a previous post he was moving) and thus more evidence he was moving and the post time is more recent than the one you provided. Hence why I thought his current issue was moving, not illness. Would rather he was in good health either way. Last edited by Menarker; 05-13-2010 at 06:09 PM. |

Curses! Our close-knit and shrunken cast requires one of our fellow party members to be present to advance the plot! Our advantages are our undoing!
And I've been thinking of PATCA as a sort of Five Man Band, but this is the only way I could see it with the pieces fitting in some logical way. THE HERO: Pierce/Impact* - Impact seems to be very central, but Pierce has more heroic qualities THE LANCER: Pierce/Impact- Similiar to the above. One would be Lancer to the other definitely, just depends on who you classify as hero. THE BIG GUY: Charlotte- due to willingness for violence and carnage THE SMART GUY: Matthias- According to Dante. Also no where else I can put him at. THE CHICK: Renny- Pretty obvious. Also, if he was hero then I wouldn't have anyone else to put here. |

Of course, there is the interesting plot point during the epilogue where, regardless of whether Pierce or Impact is the hero, both the hero and the lancer end up fighting over who shall conquer the world now that the previous villains are all dead and gather the biggest harem since Genghis Kahn.
I'll edit that all in as best as I can. Shizuka having sex with Pierce? Actually, I seriously think that could happen. By the way, I'm making some major changes to battles in conjunction in the introduction of the Deployment Slot System: But first, Upgrades!: - PC Slayers can now equip two small, two medium, and two large weapons in addition to the Normal type assault rifle that is always on hand. - All Slayers also gain Armor Affinity. What this means is that if a weapon they use deals the same type of damage as a piece of armor they have equipped protects against, they get a STAB modifier. This STAB modifier is double as opposed the 1.5 used by Trainers and Snaggers. - All Slayers can now create a single Signature Technique. Read what I have to say about the Rage Point System to find out more. - All Trainers can now carry a sixth Pokemon. Two Leader Pokemon, for regular Pokemon. - PC Trainers can create customized accessories to be held by their two Leader Pokemon. - All Trainers can now create a single Pokemon Co-Op Technique. Read what I have to say about the Rage Point System to find out more. - All Pokebrids now have a third DNA Splice. Choose wisely. - All Pokebrids deal double damage with a STAB modifier instead of 1.5. - All Pokebrids can use multiple Paradigm Shifts in the same battle, provided they have enough Rage Points. Read what I have to say about the Rage Point System to find out more. - All Pokebrids can now use Divide and Focus like a Trainer and Snagger with their own moves. - All Pokebrids can now use moves beyond their third turn in a row, but at the penalty of a Rage Point cost that grows with subsequent turns. I'll explain about the Rage Point System below. - All Snaggers now have four Pokemon. Two Leader Pokemon, two regular Pokemon. - All Snaggers gain the ability to automatically Snag a Pokemon that is defeated in battle. No worrying about getting it as weak as possible. However, the Snag can still fail and it's your only chance to capture it at that time. - All Snaggers can now have a single Pokemon Co-Op Technique. Read what I have to say about the Rage Point System. The Rage Point System? Seriously, they need to stop putting me on boring-ass fire watches. I'm coming up all kinds of weird shit these days. I'd appreciate constructive criticism regarding this addition to the DSS system, not pointless moaning and bitching: From the next mission on, characters (PC, NPC, Enemy) will now be using Rage Points (0-100) to "buy" uses of their current abilities and other things they get assigned in the future. Here's the rules behind it... - Rage Points are earned by dealing and receiving damage, moreso recieving than dealing. - A good number of abilities have been altered for use in this system. - All characters start with 50/100 Rage Points at the start of each and every battle. If and when Gaea's Second Wind activates, it grants 50 Rage Points regardless of current number. For example, if a character is already maximized, he or she will then have 150/100. - If a Slayer or Pokebrid is defeated and then revived, they gain 50/100 Rage Points due to the new passive ability, Vengeful Rage. Pokemon Trainers and Snaggers gain 25/100 Rage Points per Pokemon revived due to this same ability. - Rage can also be affected by certain new items, accessories, Pokemon abilities, and even Signature Techniques. - More Rage is earned if a ineffectual attack is used by the ally or if a supereffective attack is used by the enemy. Normally effective tactics will net you 10 Rage Points. Disadvantageous tactics will give you 20 Rage Points. Advantageous tactics will give you 5. So there's even a benefit to using moves that don't do a whole lot of anything. - No Rage is generated for using moves that don't deal any HP damage, like Helping Hand. You've gotta hit 'em! Here's a list of things that are being changed because of the Rage Point System: For Slayers - Accessory Use = 50/100 Rage Points after first use of each. Now you can reuse accessories in the same battle so long as you have the required RPs. - Signature Technique = ???/100 Rage Points. Depends on the power of the Signature Technique you create. A move that hits a single target will cost less than a move that hits multiple targets. Basically, the effect of the attack and the number of targets it effects will determine cost. - Sweep = 25/100 Rage Points. Sweep now deals its full effects to two adjacent targets. I'll explain about Real Time Formation Setup below. For Trainers - Pokemon Co-Op Technique = ???/100 Rage Points. Depends on the power of the Pokemon Co-Op Technique you create. A move that hits a single target will cost less than a move that hits multiple targets. Basically, the effect of the attack and the number of targets it effects will determine cost. - Focus = 25/100 Rage Points. Focus doubles the damage and secondary effect chances if it is originally a one-target attack anyways. Focus can also be used to make an attack that would normally hit a random foe hit a target you designate. - Divide = 25/100 Rage Points. Divide now deals its full effects to two adjacent targets. I'll explain about Real Time Formation Setup below. - Testament Drive = 50/100 Rage Points. Legendary Pokemon can now use their Testament Drive whenever they are in play. They don't need to be fighting a Ruin General nor do they need to die. For Pokebrids - Additional Move Turns = 25/100 Rage Points Per Turn. You can use moves on consecutive turns for three turns, then it costs Rage Points to continue to do so. You must recuperate for two turns in order to reset this. - Paradigm Shift = 70/100 Rage Points. Remember that Paradigm Shift lasts for three turns. - Synchronization Technique = 30/100 Rage Points. If someone uses an item to get you back up in Rage Points before Paradigm Shift ends, then you can use multiple SyncTechs in the same Paradigm Shift. - Focus and Divide = 25/100 Rage Points. Read the notes regarding these abilities from the Pokemon Trainer. - Pokeshift = 0/100 Rage Points. Pokeshifting is still free and easy. For Snaggers - Aww, just go read the Trainer section again. You're both near the same damn class. Here's some more crap you're gunna love: New Slayer Accessories! - Maximum Output - Like Explosion for Slayers. The Slayer injects this purple and black prototype drug directly into his neck and then goes fuckin' ballistic. Two adjacent enemy targets take huge damage, the Slayer is defeated by the crippling exhaustion after he burns himself out. The Slayer DOES NOT gain 50/100 Rage Points (in other words, no Vengeful Rage 'cause you killed yo'self) from being revived after using this! I won't have Impact kersploding himself every other fucking turn. God knows that happened enough with Pierce's Metagross. - Immunity Boost - Prevents all negative status effects for three turns. Does not cure them if they're already there. A little late in the application process if you're already coughing up your liver. - Berserker Source - A "Rage Bank" of sorts. Here's how it works. The accessory already comes with 100/100 Rage Points. When you "use" it, it fills your Rage to maximum and keeps the excess to itself (if you have 70/100 and use it, it gives you 30 and keeps the remaining 70 it has leftover). You can transfer Rage to it for use later. In other words, you'd be very lethal if you saved up 100/100 Rage Points in it and then had 100/100 Rage Points yourself. Signature Sequences With Your Favorite Gal If you've ever wished there was proof of your budding relationship with a certain character, here's a good piece of evidence. A powerful Signature Sequence you share! And you don't even have to have that character in your current DSS setup. We're going to have to discuss this part amongst ourselves, actually. I know Renny would be honored to have a Signature Sequence with Lola, but I'm not certain about the rest of you. Pierce will most likely have one with Shizuka, but since Shizuka isn't going to be with you guys for a while...there's some stuff to iron out, obviously. So, as for you other four guys, you can pick a character to create a SignSeq with based on preference and then tell me what you want to have happen in it. Just know that the overall effect of the SignSeq will determine Rage Point cost and will take Rage Points from the both of you. But if that other character isn't in the setup, no worries. It doesn't cost more to do it that way and you don't have to worry about that character not having the Rage Points. About the Formation Setup: Remember those little setups where I had to indicate where the Ruin Pokemon were during Renny's Sidequest? We'll start implementing that for both ally and enemy formations starting on the next mission. What does it affect? Well, it affects moves like Blizzard, Earthquake, and Explosion for one. Now, looking at the enemy formation setup, you must designate a target and an adjacent target. This is the same for abilities like Divide and Sweep. About Two More Specialties: You know about the four NPC Specialties I've talked about briefly before, right? Shook Trooper, Medic, Sniper, and Engineer? Well, now there's two more. The Enforcers are single-class fighters like you are currently. They're basically experienced fighters who just aren't dual-classes like Rayleen and Rachel. Anyways, every PC can assign an Enforcer to a personal Enforcer slot. When the allied formation is complete (the main characters are in one group), these Enforcers just make sure you aren't flanked or attacked from behind, which has no effect on combat. But if you split up, Enforcers will join the fight to enforce the divided groups. The Destroyer is the undisputed god of battle. Steel Ruin General Lexhur and Dinner the Overhuman are prime examples of this specialty. Destroyers are only rarely available since they are essentially game breakers. Expect to only have an active Destroyer when facing full-on armies and groups of extremely powerful enemies. ----- I think that's more than enough to discuss for now. Actually, it's pretty much all I need to discuss as far as DSS and the Rage Point System, or RPS is concerned. All that remains is assigning NPCs to slot, giving them this or that unique ability, setting some rules in stone, and then it'd be done. EDIT 1: D'oh, I forgot a few more tidbits! - Pseudo-Legendary Pokemon will no longer force-deploy when fighting a Ruin General. Only Legendary. Want a logical explanation? Well you're not gettin' one. Go complain about it on your Facebooks or whatever. - There are two items that affect Rage Points. The Bravado Rocket item restores 25/100 Rage Points. The Suppressive Haze item is an attack item that takes away 25/100 Rage Points. There are no stronger items. There may never be. You'd probably die taking a stronger drug. - The Ability called Berserker will increase the amount of Rage Points generated by an action by 1.5. Trainers and Snaggers can change the ability of their Leader Pokemon to this should they desire. Be careful against enemy Pokemon that have this ability. Pokebrids can choose to have this ability for their third DNA splice. - Various enemies will now carry items. Use the ability Thief to take them for yourself. Some of these are items that you couldn't have normally. Last edited by Astral Harmony; 05-14-2010 at 01:47 AM. |

Wow, this is going to be a bit to take in. Plus this will require me to edit the Pokemon Breeder class a bit... hmmm...
Looking forward to see what your edit will be like. Quote:
In regards to rage, what about pokemons with disabling move lists instead of direct attacking? Like Umbreon if she tried to use Confuse Ray and that sort of thing? Not all pokemons are built for attacking, and if they can't get any rage for using moves that don't hurt, like toxic or confuse ray, that make them even less useful again than the standard high power attackers who can usually just as easily kill a foe in 2 or even 1 hit. Do both pokemons have to be on the field and fighting in order to use the Co-Op move? Quote:

Toxic will generate Rage for both you each turn it's in effect. Confusion will generate Rage for you if the enemy hits itself. Besides, Rage is also generated when your Pokemon is hit.
As for Rage, the Trainer him/herself holds the Rage for his whole group, not the individual Pokemon. Pokemon Co-Op Techniques are basically a Trainer's Signature Techniques. The difference is that the Trainer does a kickass technique with his Pokemon because on his own, he's not very effective. When I said Co-Op, I kinda intended for it to be a cooperative attack with the Trainer and his chosen Pokemon, not two Pokemon. But in the event that you want it to involve two Pokemon, you don't need to have both out. Hell, you don't need to have either out, which helps if you want to safeguard them from harm so you'll have them when you want to use it. EDIT 1: Sandstorms and hailstorms also generate Rage at 5 points for each affected individual. Now Shannon doesn't have to keep Abomasnow under wraps for fear that everyone would be pissed off about the hailstorm. Last edited by Astral Harmony; 05-14-2010 at 02:07 AM. |

Still wondering this question
Quote:
Also, for PC trainers customized accessories for leader pokemons, do you mean 2 accessories, one for each leader or only one which can be given to either leader pokemon only? And I totally got an idea for Mollesk's Testament Drive. (SPIKED) TENTACLES OF FORCED INTRUSION! Last edited by Menarker; 05-14-2010 at 02:35 AM. |
