I'm a Sephiroth fan I'm afraid. (Go fangirl status, woo.) When he struck Aeris down, I couldn't help but laugh. I feel ashamed. (Not.) But I too am glad that she didn't get revived in any way. (Bizarre love twist is that Aeris became part of the lifestream by dying at Sephiroths hand, and Sephiroth wanted to become one with it. Eh, eh? Okay, so I have weird mako sex on the brain. Geez.)

Bob and any of the other posters, please refrain from posting about your own private lives. I and I'm sure others really don't care to know.
My next question: I heard about the red sub in Junon. Does it have any specialtizes that the original didn't have?

Yess, yess. I think the storyline is just fine as it is too. I'm just looking for something new to get out of the game. I'll never think of it as the true storyline if I actually do get Aeris to live agian. I'm just bored, and need something to do. I'm just looking for extras, not wanting to change one of the fundemental parts of the game.

SPOILER ALERT!
The first time I played the game through, after Aeris's death, I was not able to play the game for a week. I continued after a week had passed, but heart-broken. Then Cloud eventually left the group. Felt like playing the game even less. Then Tifa left! My whole team up until then had been Cloud, Tifa, and Aeris, and they had all gone! I didn't like using characters that I normally didn't, but I got used to Cid, Red XIII, and Barret, and mostly only because of their limit breaks; Cait Sith's and Vincent's are worthless. Somehow, I managed to continue through the game, and got Cloud and Tifa back. But, it just wasn't the same! I just wanted to hurry up and kill Sephiroth, and I did. The ending was so inconclusive, I'm glad they decided to follow it up with a movie. The ending, it's like they did it just for controversiality's sake. Now, when I play RPGs, when the story takes a turn, I try to imagine what kind of ending the game will have based on the game's current events; it keeps me from getting disappointed if I foresee a bad ending. Oh well, considering the dark, brutal, uncertain world in which FFVII is based, the ending fit, because the ending itself was very uncomforting and uncertain. At any rate, does anyone know if there is actually a Huge Independent Materia, i.e., a purple Huge Materia? You get the green/Magic Huge Materia from Corel. You get the yellow/Command Huge Materia from Fort Condor. You get the red/Summon Huge Materia from Junon, when you bomb the leader sub. You get the blue/Support Huge Materia from the rocket after it blasts off. But where do you get the purple/Independent Huge Materia? Thinking about all of the reactors in the game, the only place I can think of is Nibelheim. I remember getting it before, but now that I replay the game, I can't remember where exactly I got it, and now I'm questioning if I ever actually got it, or whether I'm just being victimized by my own terrible memory. |

Stranger in a strange land.

So that first part is a spoiler, but that second part isn't? Okay...
Anyway, SPOILER ALERT, though it was implied in the thread title. The blue huge materia is NOT a huge Support materia. There is no master Support or Independent, just a Master Magic, Summon, and Command materia. The blue materia is for getting Bahamut Zero, which you can only get if you have Bahamut and Neo Bahamut materia. I repeat, it is NOT a huge Support materia, and no huge materia exists for Independent, either. End spoiler.

...and that is the reason why I am both simultaneously relieved and disappointed. No Master Support or Master Independent? Aww... ...but that's two less things I don't need to worry about acquiring, then. I don't need to bother leveling up my Support Materia anymore! |

I agree as well that Aeris' death should be left alone. However, if one truly is desperate to revive her, there is one tried and true method of bringing Aeris back:
Write a fanfiction. It does make you feel better. Just make sure it doesn't suck before you post it on any websites, though. |

Yeah, her death should be left alone. No one should spend the rest of their game trying to get her back. I mean I laughed when she was stabbed and died, and then that look that I imagined on Sephiroths face. Then I was like "HOLY CRAP!!! I WAS USING HER!!!", but I didn't spend all of my days since then trying to get her back.
