New Webcomics Thread is Tremendously Magnificent

So: does anyone think that it's really our Zoe he's going to rescue, or is it just a sleight-of-hand on Pete's part? I've wondered a couple of times if it turns out that ALT-Zoe is this universe's Minion Master or something. I'm not certain, however. I'm also curious, if ALT-Oasis is madly in love with ALT-Torg due to programming (something I consider highly unlikely). We've also yet to see ALT-Bun-Bun, ALT-Kiki, or ALT-Sam - some very significant players in our world (although currently Sam's doing his own thing).

"Critical Miss" revolves around the intrepid heroine, Erin Stout, as she begins working for one of the biggest game review sites on the web. Thinking it would be fun, Erin quickly discovers the life of a popular games journalist is not all it's cracked up to be. Caught between an absurdly corrupt boss and a savagely opinionated readership, she is forced to choose between her journalistic principles and her desire to not live in a cardboard box. While life swirls around her, she still finds the time to sneak away for an occasional round of videogames.

Meister's saying it's totally generic so far. Which it is. There's a wide gap between generic and totally unique, and it's good to be in that gap. Brawl in the Family is in that gap. This is generic, just like CAD and dozens of others. It's not even the good kind of generic like Penny Arcade, which is only generic cause it started the you know, genre, and stays good cause it does it better and with better production values than almost all of it's competitors.

But it's only comic six, so who knows there might be good enough jokes to elevate it, or actual characters development and plot (not that this always a good thing, see CAD). At the moment it's just another gamer does wacky things mixed with random game

In the latest FreakAngels, you can tell that Luke is showing off that hole in his right palm on purpose. He's totally JesusChristing the situation.
