To be a little more direct; there's basically ten levels for every discipline. No one beyond the eighth generation can get more than five, and you pretty much have to be an antediluvian to get ten. At level ten in a discipline, you pretty much no longer have limitations. Level ten potence? Shatter mountains. Level ten Animalism? Merge your spirit with the Earth.

Spoilered just because it addresses what we were talking about before: Caine's powers suggested by The Book of Nod would basically be level ten in everything, plus the ability to make up disciplines at will, plus the ability to shut down vampiric abilities at will, plus a whole lot of other crazy crap like cursing entire bloodlines.

I'm told it took thirteen spiritual nuclear bombs to bring down Ravnos. So yeah, antediluvians are pretty powerful.

You missed the best part of that story actually because the thirteen nuclear bombs did NOT kill him. He had already devoured the majority of his clan when waking up, and was single handedly waging a war against those Asian vampires, and winning, all while he kept an impenetrable shroud up in the air that covered him from the sun. The thirteen bombs merely broke his concentration, where he could no longer keep the shroud up, and only the sun actually killed him when the night was over.

Oh, and they weren't just nuclear bombs, they were much improved and much more powerful bombs developed by the technocracy just to kill such threats.

So yeah, Antediluvian = Insane

Other Antedilvuians have done stuff canonically like for the Malkavians, being their "insanity network", which was the cause of all Malkavians being insane, as well as how they had prophetic visions and voices, than when he established his will, every single Malkavian vampire became an extension of himself, and he could speak and act through any of them, and their personalities were all extinguished.

For the Gangrel, merging with the Earth itself completely, and doing stuff like swallowing entire city blocks all around the world with gigantic fissures simply to eat one powerful vampire.

For the Tremere/Tzimisce, spreading spores that allows him to biologically dominate all living things on earth, while leaving behind a huge tentacled fleshy mass of horror underneath New York that simply devoured anything that came close, as a by product. By the end of this scenario, literally every single living and dead thing on earth was part of the Antediluvian, except for the main characters by plot device and another antediluvian.

For the Lasombra, turning into a giant shadowy mist from the H.P. Lovecraft/horror dark dimensions of the world, with a great deal of unknown, and truly horrific powers.

So yeah, Antediluvians are kind of ridiculous.
