Eyes and mouths have pretty specific needs as far as the way the edge loops go if you hope on rigging/animating it. Example. Most importantly are the loops around the eyes and the mouth so that the skin deformation can happen correctly. (also, don't forget that there needs to be geometry inside of the mouth so that when it opens you won't get backward-facing polygons. A mouth-sack, if you will.)

Rigging is..... interesting. I'm not a fan but I know people who do like it. You're in a class you said? Or are you just looking up this stuff on your own?

(Sorry I'm not super helpful. Modeling/texturing/rigging isn't my focus (though I am capable of doing it), I'm more of a character animator.)

Well my plans for a cool looking lineless Halloween CG went up in smoke when I failed an important test. Which means I'll have to study harder. meaning I won't finish it in time. But it still looks cool though right?

Sad part is I stared it on October 4th, 2011...
