I want it to do a pressured stroke which some programs can do. Essentially I want it to be where it's thick on one side and thins out before reaching the other. OR have it where it's thick in the middle.
Edit The pony is like that because the older ponies seem to have more human like features

There's no real easy way to do a variable width stroke in Inkscape (It's a feature in development, I believe), but you can approximate it by selecting the object, then Path -> Stroke to Path, and tweaking the path manually. The Tweak tool works well for this. Select the path you want to tweak, then hit the tweak tool. Then up top select shrink/grow, or whatever you want, and then push the object around, making the "Stroke" change thickness.
Edit: What you can also do is make your own mid-marker, and apply that to the line, so that it grows and shrinks at each node, but I'm not sure how that'd work. The other other thing you can do is on the stroke style tab, give it a round cap, which looks a bit smoother/drawner. The OTHER other other other thing you can do is use the Caligraphy tool, but that has you drawing complete paths, so then to give them a fill, you'd have to just roughly draw beneath them and then fill that.

Doodled up a concept of a unicorn while pondering about a hypothetical home dimension for Shyria's particular variety of dragon. I'll probably add other things like a size chart and color guide onto this as I go. Inspiration varies between real life Indian and wooly rhinos, Karkadann mythology and Dürer's Rhinoceros.

Nice lookin' unicorn there Shyria! It's funny, I swear I've heard other people talking about a rhino-unicorn recently as well.

I think I like the alt head better, just because it looks less like a normal rhino.

Someone's getting hooked on SNES-era Final Fantasy games again.
Haven't posted in awhile, but I don't have a ton to share. Mostly sketches.
This one is from a paintchat with a friend of mine. And then I broke photoshop.

Because I'm boring
Shading with the thin little tip of a mechanical pencil (which is the only pencil I have currently) is a pain so I kind of half assed it.

Making it happen.

Worked on this over several days and reeeeeally would like to move on.
Doing a drawing, mostly coming out nice (I think?) but it's unfinished because I realized I had no earthly clue what I was doing with regards to the rock face in the background. Advice?

Google image search "Rock face" or something and get references. That is all the advice a non-artist such as I can offer.
