But yeah, it's not quite like that one episode of Dragon Ball Z, where a resurrected character would just die in space due to the planet's destruction. Space is actually quite comfy in Homestuck.

If that's the case, remember that in Homestuck, Space is not a vacuum. People can survive there quite comfortably. Heck, Jade decided that space was a better place to raise frogs than her cold planet, so space is even temperate.

I think everyone does now. I'm pretty sure I recall both Vriska and Equius having some dialogue that at least suggested it had become common knowledge.

It was in Alterniabound. Play as Vriska and talk to Equius.
I think the idea is that it was the source of his self-loathing because he believed everyone would turn on him when they find out, and that even though they didn't turn on him when they found out, Karkat still holds on to that self-loathing and that's the real source of his problems, not his blood.
