Prasad flinched away from the path of the careening motorcycle, eyes widened in surprise at the unexpected guest.
"Who the hell are you?" "Name's Kupowitz, my dear. Prasad Kupowitz, and..." the moogle reached into his jacket and pulled out a coin, flipping it into the air as he decided to lay his decision in fate's hands for the day. Heads, he offers the newcomers his assistance in exchange for a cut of whatever they're getting in exchange for the relic. Tails, he aids Hurr and Durr and attempts to get his debt paid here and now. He caught the coin and slapped it down onto his left forearm, grimacing a bit at the result: Tails. "...I'm afraid I don't get to be your friend today. Sorry," he shrugged, replacing the coin within his jacket and pulling out a pair of dice, giving them a quick roll before drawing his guns. "I hope for my sake that this isn't your lucky day." -------------------- Flipped a coin to determine my course of action, with the result being that you are up against "Prasad (boss)," which Truce has worked out to have some slightly different stats than "Prasad (player)." More health, different damage output, a couple extra abilities and items, you know the drill. Also used Dice: Healer's Roll.

While it's normal and perfectly healthy for an audience to start with some weapons drawn, once they start pulling out more, it's time to change your routine or get off the stage.
Bello ran to the Mithra's side and spun his lute to his chest. "Looks like I'm playing for someone else today, my hairy friends." He strummed his lute dramatically. "This one's called 'Valor Minuet.'" He then began playing a slow, graceful, ballroom tune completely out-of-place given his words and the setting. The "plunk"-y sound of a lute didn't really fit the tune, either. His humming was pretty soothing, though. OOC: Everybody that's not a Galka or a Moogle gets +2 to ACC until I say otherwise.

"Dammit all!" Ralt's yelled as he ducked to dodge the bike and moved from his hiding point with Jal. Some idiot on a motor-bike had ruined their plan! Now they would have to fight the two Galka's on even footing, and apparently the moogle to!
As Jal began to approach the enemy, Ralt's decided to stay behind and flank. He turned his attention towards the moogle who had shown up in the room. "You'll regret working against us, Crimson Seal!," the Red Mage then paused for a brief moment, "Blizzard!" --- Ralts activates Crimson Seal. Ralts then casts blizzard on Prasad, using Crimson Seal to make it a standard action. Last edited by Bard The 5th LW; 12-13-2009 at 02:46 PM. |

Vit flattened himself against the wall as the motorcycle rushed past, then leaned around the corner of the door. Scanning the room, he determined that the Galka with the gunblade would be the most easily disabled. He focused on the enemy; he knew somewhere in his mind that he was channeling white magic, but his methods had always been those of a mechanic. Instead of thinking of an incantation, he pictured the Galka's bones malfunctioning, locking in place.
--- Begins casting Stop on Biggs.

The Moogle made sense, Wedge admitted. It didn't hurt that that was going to be a point that Wedge himself was about to bring up, if Biggs hadn't shown his odd tendencies again. Nor was it like the moogle could get away; after all, there was only one exit, and they were the ones blocking the path.
However, before Wedge decided on a course of action, the roar of a vehicle echoed through the halls. A splash of water, and suddenly something landing in the room next to theirs. Wedge only needed to turn his head to see something speeding before him - but, like a deer caught in headlights, he couldn't move out the way. The motorcycle slammed into him, sending him a few feet back! Jade deals 7 damage to Wedge and knocks him back a short distance. However...Wedge that vehicle turned missile would not stop Wedge alone. Planting his feet on the ground and grabbing both sides of the makeshift weapon, he forced the motorcycle to a stop. Then, with an angry grunt, he tossed the vehicle aside. "The hell?" he asks, as he raises his gun towards Jade. "What kind of bitch attacks first and asks questions later?" "You did, boss," Biggs answered helpfully. "With the girl you just hooked in." "Shut up Biggs," Wedge said angrily, not in the mood to point out that Bello was still a boy - just like he was fiften seconds ago. "Why don't you just shoot her already?!" "I can't, sir. I left all my ammunition with Piete." Wedge's eye twitched. This was not a good day to be him at all. "Well, you still have a blade don't you?! Start hitting her with it!" That was, of course, when Jal and the rest of his group decided to rush in. "Who the hell are they? Who the hell are YOU?!", Jal shouted out as he dashed into the room. "DAMN IT, WHERE THE HELL ARE ALL OF YOU PEOPLE COMING FROM?!" It was looking grim for them. Suddenly, three more people had started to show up, looking ready for a fight. Even if they weren't working with the bitch, there was a good chance they were working with the Taru. Fortunately for the Galkas, Prasad threw his chips - and his dice with the dynamic duo. Healer's Roll Succeeds. Regeneration of 5 HP for 5 Rounds for Enemy Party. Meanwhile, Wedge wasn't someone to get attacked blindly. He stepped back, gaining some distance from the group, using the bike as cover. Then, he raised his harpoon gun - launching it. It flies towards Jade, who deftly dodges it - but the harpoon soon finds its true target, embedding itself in Jal. With a quick tug, Wedge pulls Jal in, and smashes him into Jade from behind, though the impact of the two adventurers knocks the spear free from Jal. Jal is pulled in a short range towards Wedge, and takes 6 damage. Jade takes 3 damage. Biggs, on the other hand, ignores his orders from before, as he sees a rather sharp shard of ice fly towards the moogle. It hits Prasad squarely in the chest, nearly knocking Prasad off balanced - though it didn't hurt that his oversized pom pom made it difficult to stand up straight to begin with. However, a white light envelops Prasad afterwards, healing some of the damage he took. Ralts' Blizzard deals 18 damage to Prasad. Prasad regains 5 Health Points thanks to Healer's Roll "Why you little...!" Though he glances at Bello, who he considers cutting down for a moment, he steps toward the spell casters instead. Running towards them, he raises his sword...just in time to be frozen by Vit's spell. Biggs is frozen for 3 rounds. --- Round One, Party gets +2 Accuracy thanks to Phil's art. Enemy Party gets +5 HP for 4 more rounds. Jal: 13/19 HP Bello: 15/16 HP, 23/23 MP Ralts: 17/17 HP, 21/21 MP Vit: 18/18 HP, 16/23 MP Jade: 22/25 HP Biggs: ??/??, Medium Range from Jal, Bello, and Jade. Short Range from Vit and Ralts. Wedge: ??/??, Medium range from Ralts and Vit, Short Range from Jal and Bello, Melee Range with Jade Prasad: -13/??, Medium Range from Everyone |

"Ar---OOF!" Jal shouted as he was speared and then yanked into Jade, the harpoon tearing free of his flesh with a small spurt of blood. He took a moment to rub the wound before looking up at Wedge with the kind of glare that could chill a weaker man to the core. If he had given it to Biggs, there might be yet another puddle of urine on the floor.
Disentangling himself from Jade as quickly as possible Jal rushed forward, both of his daggers flashing brightly as they moved toward Wedge's soft galkan flesh. ------- Moving into melee with Wedge, and rolling attack. Acc 5 + 3d6. 11 dex for damage.

"You'll regret working against us, Crimson Seal!"
"Crimson who?" Prasad asked the Red Mage in mock confusion, "Look, don't take it so personally, bud! It's just business, and I can assure you that I need whatever's in this chest way the kupo more than you guys at the mo--GAH!" The moogle stumbled backward as he was struck by the Blizzard spell, shivering as the magic chilled him to his very bones, the small refreshment from his Healer's Roll doing little to curb the stinging pain of the attack. "Oh... T-that is just cold, man!" he growled at Ralts as he shook the frost out of his fur, holstering his revolvers and reaching into his jacket for a few cards as he called out to the less totally immobile of the two galka, "Hey Wedgie! Hurl-'n-hook, on the double!" ---------------- Initiating a combined attack with Wedge, utilizing my Wild Card ability against Ralts, and spending 3 Destiny Points to activate Cheat Fate on the acrobatics roll.

Bello stopped humming his song for a moment as he locked eyes with Wedge. "It's time to pay you back for the harpoon in my arm." Swinging his lute behind him, he started singing the chorus to his song as he whipped a dagger out of his sleeve and stabbed at Wedge. Vit could make out that it was a song about birds or something.
*** Bello does an attack at Wedge. Edit: That'd be 6 +1d6

Vit ran forward towards the now-immobile Biggs, spinning his staff at the Galka with both hands. "Sorry, friend, no hard feelings right? Can't let you hurt my allies, after all."

"Who the hell are you?"
"Name's Kupowitz, my dear. Prasad Kupowitz, and..." the newly named moogle explained to the sword brandishing interloper. He flipped a coin. "...I'm afraid I don't get to be your friend today. Sorry," he shrugged, replacing the coin within his jacket and pulling out a pair of dice, giving them a quick roll before drawing his guns. "I hope for my sake that this isn't your lucky day." "I make my own luck." she replied confidently, grinning about the coming fight. "Who the hell are they? Who the hell are YOU?!" Jal shouted out, dashing into the room. "No time to explain." the swordswoman replied, green eyes flicking back at her fellow Mithra. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Wedge fire his harpoon and ducked to the side. It caught the thief instead, dragging him forward and making him barge into her. "Outta my way!" she hissed at Wedge, powering forward and sweeping her blade up in a heavy swing to club him in the head with it. OOC: Attack with 8 ACC from Phil's art, damage is 10+2d6.
