Pokémon battles will be two-on-two...uhhh...usually. But considering the size of the group initially, battles may have to be modified. God knows how many Pokémon I'm going to have to throw out all at once to match how many you guys will.
Items are fine, weapons with special shit're fine, it's all fine, fine, fine, fine! Geez! I hate you guys! Question-asking bastards, I should transform you all into Ludicolo and make money of your coordinated but still unimpressive performances! Now I'm going to create the profile for my NPC that'll be tagging along and then I'm going to get started on the RPG thread. Closeups ain't closed and neither are the Q&As but so help me, I'll have Kirie with her Fire Saber ready to flash fry you in your own internal juices. Name: Rachel McConnelly Alias: Princess Age: 17 Gender: Female Class: Pokébrid (Support NPC) Pokémon Registry: Pikachu Appearance: Wears a dark grey tanktop, green jean shorts, a large set of headphones that are probably constantly beaming dance music directly into her head, and black sneakers. Pikachu ears jut out of her wealth of red hair. There are Pikachu stripes on her arms, legs, and back and the rest of her skin has a yellowish hue. She has electrical pouches in her cheeks that resemble blush stickers. A Pikachu's tail pokes out of her jeans from behind. She's a pretty enough girl with a fit build and will almost always have a Pocky stick in her mouth. Backstory / Personality: Rachel comes from a well-to-do family and was raised with warmth and love. She did pretty well for herself in school, and even to this day, she expresses a shiny and carefree attitude even in the chaos of battle. Her parents allowed her to join the force (I never did give it a name, did I?) under the condition that she would give it her all. Rachel became a Pikachu Pokébrid mostly as a cosmetic choice (she thinks the Pikachu parts of her body make her even cuter) and while she can fight, she's not the best Pokébrid ever to see combat, and thus has been reduced to hauling items and providing backup. As far as her personality goes, people often think she needs to take some kind of drug to regulate her energy. She's a bundle of energy and optimism and she has difficulty shutting the hell up. Oh well, her bright and cheery attitude does have an empowering effect on her friends. Last edited by Astral Harmony; 02-15-2010 at 02:32 AM. |

It's funny how I think your NPC is the closest in personality/compatiability with my character and yet I'm probably the top person on your maiming list for asking too many questions...

I don't mind the questions. I knew a Pokémon RPG was going to be a big thing before I kicked it off. The first thread is open. Perfect timing to introduce yourselves, ask questions to Rayleen, and request items for Rachel to hold for you.

For the sake of convenience I'm putting all of the elements and pokemon each person is (or has for trainers)
(Myself) Oberon: Venomoth: Bug/Poison (Naqel) Bone Knight: Marowak: Ground (Bard) Madam Ursarang: (Arcanine) Buck: Fire (Houndoom) Sol-Leks: Dark/Fire (Manetric) Pike: Electric (Mightyena) Spitz: Dark (Menarker) Renny Tresserhorn: Togekiss: Normal/Flying Swampert: Water/Ground Magnezone: Electric/Steel Umbreon: Dark (Wizardcat) Javier Sonnen: Espeon: Psychic (Geminex) Impact: - (Dracorion) Pierce Granger: Tyrannitar: Rock/Dark Skarmory: Steel/Flying Blazikin: Fire Starmie: Water/Psychic (Dauntasa) Colin Ferguson: - (Rapter200) Isaac Lucius: Rhyperior: Ground/Rock (Arcanum Darkfire) Mike Kenno: Dragonite: Dragon/Flying Charizard: Fire/Flying And because I can (Armored Bishoujo) Princess: Pikachu: Electric If someone else feels like 1-upping me and linking every person's name to their character post have fun. I'm off too lazy. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. Also: Oberon's "ability" or whatever it's called is Shield Dust Last edited by DanteFalcon; 02-15-2010 at 06:00 AM. |

Slayers
Geminex (Ray Green:Impact) Dauntasa (Colin Ferguson) Trainers Bard (Charlotte Beaufort: Madame Ursurang) Menarker (Renny Tresserhorn) Dracorion (Pierce Granger) Pokebrids Naqel (Rakald Essertle: Bone Knight) DanteFalcon (Matthias Sona: Oberon) Wizardcat (Javier Sonnen) Raptor200 (Isaac Lucius) Armored Bishoujo's NPC (Rachel McConnelly:Princess) Snaggers Arcanum Darkfire (Mike Kenno) ------------------ EDIT: Two questions 1: If I choose to use an item such as Choice Band or Spiky Barb and use "Trick" or some other item switching move to give it to the foe (to give them a disadvantage), is it retrievable later (if the trainer get captured or defeated) or is it gone for good? 2: I know that Princess is capable of carrying a huge supply of items, but do our heros (such as trainers) have ANY ability to carry even 3 or 4 items? (In case of group split-up or whatnot) Last edited by Menarker; 02-15-2010 at 04:42 PM. |

Question: certain moves could be used to hit several pokemon at once, right?
For example, I get Tackle only hitting one pokemon, but what about Earthquake? Or Thunder?

Yeah, I got the same question but rather ask if we should be worried about hitting bystanders or causing property damage such as with earthquake or zapping hostages with Thunder, especially after a rain dance (which doesn't quite make sense since trainers never seem to get hurt from either side's Thunder during a rain dance).

I'm guessing earthquake would be pretty strongly localized, while thunder... even if we're applying anime physics, I'd assume that all the big attacks, (thunder, blizzard, fire blast, surf etc...) would involve quite a bit of collateral damage.
